Scott Thompson Sucks at Gay Softball Event

Exclusive: Scott Thompson"Kids in the Hall" actor Scott Thompson just blew it with the gays. Thompson performed at the Softball Gay World Series opening ceremonies in Phoenix last week, well, that is if you could call what he did a "performance."

According to our source, the comedian began bombing right after he dissed Kathy Griffin. You don't diss Kathy to the gays! He then went on to clear out the stadium with "lame vulgar jokes and even used the N word." At one point, he stopped his act and addressed a gaggle of lesbians that turned their backs to him, and said, "Thanks for turning your backs while I'm here actually trying to do something. Trying to perform!" Key word: "trying."

The next day, the Series Director sent out a letter of apology to each team that was subjected to Thompson's act, stating that comments "made by Mr. Thompson were not approved," and that they were sorry they "did not pull the plug sooner." Swing, and a miss!

91. There are homosexuals in all sports so that argument will not hold up. Sorry, but having a homosexual all inclusive sport is racist and biased toward your own cause. Either you want to be part of the solution or part of the problem but not just when it fits your agenda. Anyone with intelligence realizes this without using Therapeutic Alienation as an excuse.

92. Racist, Michael? LMAO. Your ignorance doesn't even deserve a response. Same to you, "fat and dumb with skid marks". Great name, it fits you well (were the skid marks from an intimate encounter, per chance?)

You both need more education than a message board can provide. Spend your time more wisely and everyone will be safer and happier.

I do not think you were laughing, I think you are pissed because your elitism gets in your own way. Homosexuals have the freedom to distinguish themselves but use sexual orientation as a stepping stone to cultural superiority. Just read the posts.

94. Michael, I've decided that you're not only ignorant (eg, "racism" is not a word to use when discussing gay rights or homophobia), but you might be a little off-kilter in the ol' noggin, too ... your last post makes no sense whatsoever.

Goodnight, sir. I said GOODNIGHT!!

95. #21: Liberals are the "intolerant" ones? Ha, that's a good one. I've yet to see a "liberal" driver with a "Here illegally? Get the f*** out of my country" or an "it's not a child, it's a choice" sticker on their bumper. I have an "eqality" sticker for the HRC (look it up) on my bumper. Au contraire to your allegation, I (and most liberals I know) am MORE than happy to have a real conversation with conservative Christians or whomever and listen to whatever they have to say. However, I am NOT interested in huffing and puffing, shouting, name-calling, whining, ear-plugging (can't heeear yooooou) or attempts to force my beliefs into your system. Which, it seems, are hallmark traits of the Chrstian right. The Christian right has a very very narrow set of rules and beliefs, which they believe are right "just because". So knock Bill and Hillary all you want. Call us "liberals" (oooh). You are only further highlighting your own ignorance and intolerance.

96. To the poster on the first page who says that Christians are mindless puppets: I am a Christian, and I believe in gay rights. Shocking, huh? I choose to live my life by the saying,"Judge not, lest you be judged." Jesus loved everyone, why shouldn't I? I'm not the only Christian who feels this way. Many of us are tolerant, liberal minded people. You should do some research before you lump us all together. Go with God.

97. Micheal, as my name implies Im fly the other way too, but I have to agree with you. For years the gay community (if you wish to call it that) have had this propaganda push to make it seem like we are so put upon for being different. But we are guilty of the same nonsense. Before we can ask anyone outside for respect, we have to respect and acknowledge each other in the gay world as people. If you are of color, overweight, not so cute, dont have the latest Prada loafers, you are basically invisible in the gay community. People can disagree but we all know the dark truth. When people start dealing with what is real, and not some fantasyland crap, then we will get somewhere. Im a person of color who happens to be gay and Ive been to that tourney a few times with my teammates. Its a social event, and has very little to do with people who want to be accepted for their sporting abilities. Dont get me wrong, its a competitve event and there are some good players there, but more often than not, its about checkin out the boys from NY or Miami or Toronto, and seeing whose hotel room one can end up in!!

98. K-LO you are kidding right? number 82 you are nutts!! If you are good enough to play, you should be able to play anywhere. No one is infringing on your rights. Why does playing "openly" have anything to do with your ability to play? Last time I checked, when Im covering my position or at bat, my homosexuality is the last thing on my mind. What are you talking about!!?? If you wanna whine about something....whine about why gay people have to pay taxes to support all these social programs for breeders who cant seem to stop have 18 kids with no education!! Come on people, get with the program!!

99. I think you have the wrong angle on this one, hot_homo. It's not about ability to play, it's about comfort in playing. I have played on both straight and gay teams and I just prefer being surrounded by my brothers and sisters ... it's more fun for me. While I have faced homophobia on straight teams, it wasn't severe enough to preclude me from playing.

And, by the way, the women aren't at the tournament to get laid (though it certainly happens) ... it's much more about the comaraderie and the game. I understand what you're saying about the men, though, but the hard-playing guys in the championship games seem to strike a good balance. Or maybe it's just that they know they have a better chance of getting laid if they win, lol.

100. You all are stupid as hell. If you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all. The Gay World Series is just that Softabll fun and an united time for all. even if you aren't gay you are welcome to participate. This just shows how ignorant people can be. TMZ to my knowledge is a site for fun and gossip. Putting Christian beliefs or things of that sort is uncalled for. If its wrong its wrong, no one should have the right to bash anyone based on sex, race, creed or anything else for that matter. Yes, I am a Lesbian, I went to the World Series and one of my favorite teams finished on top. This series brings money to many cities each year. You all are just pissed cause you didn't think of it first!!

101. Its as prejudice to hate gays as it is to hate Christians. Dont be hyprocrites.

102. To this poster: "You are obviously not a Christian; Christians don't tell people to go to hell, but you're jackin a Christian belief and using a Christian reference. Odd...

Interesting you should say that considering the number of extreme right wing evangelical CHRISTIAN churches that claim anyone who is even FRIENDLY to someone who is gay is going to hell. This has been covered by the likes of Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and Fred Phelps (just to name a few). They're claim to be Christian and yet are passing judgement against gays and gay friendly people regarding their eternal salvation.

Sorry, but you can't have it both ways.

103. I live in Phoenix Arizona and Play softball there are to GREAT gay softball teams that play here in Arizona Charlies Diablos and Torros that are sponsered by Bud LIght If you have never seen any gay teams you would be suprised on the athletic ability the teams have during the week of the gay world series I went to watch my friends that play for diablos and charlies both teams did very well as far as the othe teams were just as good and would ask any of the players to play on my straight team I comend all the player that participated for being who they are. congragulations to all the teams that played in the gay world series

104. There reason there is a Gay World Series is because Gays are discriminated against so they formed their own leagues across America and when you have leagues across America you then must have a Gay World Series. It is really common sense..if you are a liberal.....if you are a Republican or the president of Iran it makes no sense

105. Scott Thompson is a comic genius. I think he should be given an award for speaking his mind about the very tired Kathy Griffin. Her act is old and mostly only popular with the gays. Is it any wonder why she works tirelessly trying to fit in as many gigs as possible before her career is over?
The gay male community very seldom embraces gay male comedians. They tend to stick with the raunchy straight female comedians. Scott is far more talented than Kathy in almost every way.
I'm sure Ms. Griffin will be the first to admit this.

As far as the "N" word. Scott has huge love for the African American population.
If you knew anything about him at all, you would know that this is true.
All of this has been blown out of the soft ball field.
Scott will be around long after Kathy has washed up.
More than likely he'll end up buying her house at a bankruptcy sale and moving in with his African American lover.
