TMZ has learned David Hasselhoff was admitted to the hospital for alcohol poisoning.
Sources tell us David checked himself into Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. after a binge. It was a stark contrast from what we saw last Thursday, when Hoff had a night out with daughter Hayley at Koi restaurant. Hasselhoff looked great. But things changed dramatically afterward.
No word on how the latest lapse will affect custody. A judge awarded physical custody of the kids to Hoff, but we're told for the last five weeks they've been living pretty much full-time with David's ex, Pamela Bach, while he was in Europe shooting "Anaconda 3." We're told he had "infrequent contact" with his daughters, something Hoff's people dispute. We're told Hoff has tried to keep contact at a minimum with Pam while the parties try to hammer out a property settlement.
As for how Hoff is doing, his rep says he checked out of the hospital and he's fine.
David and Pam are due back in mediation tomorrow.

Maybe he just realized that he had given his daughter Haley a stupid and crippling pseudo-trendy name and tried to kill himself in shame??? Just imagine how much he would have drank if he'd named her Haydyn or Biley or Dakotya????
Wow, he must have been drinking quite a bit to get alcohol poisoning and go to the hospital. I find it a bit odd that he fought so hard to have custody of his girls, but the minute an opportunity to make a movie comes up, he hands them off to the ex wife and starts boozing it up.

I have been sober for 10 yrs. now. .It is still hard to stay that way. .My spouse told me before we married, "no drinking". .It is not easy. .It's a daily choice. .If you don't have this problem, Thank God.

Well their daughters threw their mother under the bus by siding with their father, no doubt because he is the rich and famous one and they wanted to be glamours too. But when the you know what hits the fan (like we knew it would), who did they have to stay with? You guessed it, Mom.
Because Mom lost custody she had to move out of her house and now she has to shelter those two dimwits while their custodian father gets over another binge?
Pamela Bach should have done as I suggested and left town, and pursued any dreams she has left. She did her part, she raised beautiful daughters, but apparently there is little gratitude towards their Mom coming from them.
Those girls are almost grown (particularly the older one), so they made their bed, so now lay in it.
Jesus. If this guy wants to be a parent, then BE A PARENT. Stop thinking about himself first, and put the kid's welfare in front of his own. Get into a rehab center, dry out, conquer your demons & move on. All it takes is willpower; people do it all the time.
