Michelle Rodriguez Will Be Lost in Jail

Michelle RodriguezUPDATE: Rodriguez's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley tells us that Michelle will serve 180 days in LA County Jail. In addition, Michelle has completed almost three full days of CalTrans cleanup work on the side of the road.

"Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez was just nailed by a judge who sentenced her to at least 120 days in the slammer.

Rodriguez was on probation for a variety of crimes, including DUI and hit and run.

According to court officials, Rodriguez "admitted violating her probation by failing to provide proof of completion of her community service and for consuming alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol monitoring device."

The judge also ordered that Rodriguez is not to be released to "work furlough or electronic monitoring and is not to be granted early release." Rodriguez was also ordered to complete 30 days of CalTrans work -- which means if you're driving in L.A., you might catch an orange vest-wearing Michelle picking up trash on the side of a freeway!

Rodriguez, who appeared in court today, must report to L.A. County jail by December 24, 2007. Merry Xmas!

61. I don't care where she came from or what race/nationality she is. She broke the law, she violated probation, and now she has to do the time. They gave her a chance to make amends, and Miss I'm A Celebrity blew it. Sorry, but she had her chance. As for Lindsey Lohan, Brittney, and whoever else, the law applies to them as well. If they break the law, they should pay the consequences also, whether it's jail time, community service, whatever. Being a "celebrity" does not excuse anyone from being subject to the laws of the land.

She was raised by her grandmother, who practiced a wierd religion. Enduring such a childhood should mean either forgiveness and mental hospital for her actions. You have to admit that she look like a person from Mexico and that means a harsh sentence.

She is a poor reader and speller, so she should let her lawyer take care of the paper work.

The SCRAM bracelet can detect alcohol in soap, so no washing all together for 90 days.

DUI is normal for stars in the entertainment business today and in order to avoid to punish the population for news and gossip, people like her should be able to be convicted to a kind of in-house community service instead where they can pick up trash during the day and sleep behind bars during the night. Remember: I get calls from parents every day. "Come and pick up Joe or Brittany because ....". Our transport division have just bought two cars more in order to fulfill the demand.

I think it is the laws. Why don't let the youth bringe drink at an early age, so it is over when they can drive a car. A friend from Denmark told me that they had so many problems with 8 to 10 year olds drinking on their beaches and fighting the police. When I asked him about how many DUI related deaths they have, he told me that it have never been lower, because the former drunks grow up and drop it after some years. They simply skip some years and enters the job-market some two or three years later being responsible and sober workers.

Look at the statitics for Danish youth aged 13-15. 82 % have been drunk at least one time during the last 12 months. Can this country present the number of youth killed, the number of teenager pregnancies or even the number of juvenile behind bars that our country can? Not even close!
