Robert Smith practially originated this look (even if he did borrow elements of it from classic movie stars La Liz), so he can do whatever he damn well pleases. Though he does look just a tad silly these days, I respect that he sticks to his roots/guns and continues to work the look. Sure beats trying to dress like someone from Fall Out Boy or Blink 182 or whatever just to fit in. He's one of the few unconventional alternative artists of the 80s/90 who has managed to STAY that way.
