Deep Discounts on "American Idol" Irregulars

Justin Guarini and Kimberley Locke didn't win "American Idol," but they are charging on with their careers and performing -- at the opening of a Texas outlet mall! For the love of Tiffany!
Kimberley Locke and Justin Guarini
While it may not be as high profile as a residential development or a regional hot air balloon festival, Justin and Kimberley will be doing their best to entertain discount shoppers at the grand opening of The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso on Friday. "From Justin to Kelly" never looked so good! To add insult to injury, Kimberley's name is even spelled wrong in one instance.

At this rate, it won't be long before Bo Bice is at a multiplex near you -- singing in the parking lot!

106. AI (and the current music industry in general) is a sick joke on all of us. A f_rt in Simon's face right now would be most appropriate.

107. TMZ is vicious. I only read this article because I had to see how low TMZ would go. It's great that these two celebs are going to entertain a mall crowd! That event will probably generate an audience very excited to see Locke and Guarini in person, so why knock it? Wish that the trashy "journalists" and paparazzi that create this media garbage could use their talents for something other than ruining lives, exploiting people's personal problems and snobby, senseless commentary. Shame on you!

Would you folks rather see violence???? It seems that way~~~and what a shame!!!!!!!! The killings in Schools...the guns on the School buses.....are evil!!!!! At least American Idol....is a positive show~~~for the kids today!!! And most if not all the finals.....always make something of themselves!!!! That is fantastic!!!! 111. It does appear that they have hit rock bottom, but I am sure that it is not as bad as it seams-I hope.

112. IMO, Chris Daughtry is the best thing to come out of IDOL, he didn't even win & is doing better than everyone else. I for one can't STAND Carrie Underwear, but I do like Kelly, she's got talent too.

113. It amazes me, the hateful junk that so many little spoiled brats write on these things. Half of them can't even spell correctly, and the other half just spews whatever comes out of their puny little minds.

As if any of them even have a dream, much less know anything about persuing it. If you don't like the Idols then don't go to the mall to watch them sing. This is really a no-brainer, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

And I love how much some of these little twits have to say about the careers of people they know nothing about. Just because you watch a tv show doesn't mean you know anything...about the show OR the contestants. There are many people who try out for this show hoping to be spotted in a cut-throat dog-eat-dog world that most could not break into unless they know someone or sleep with someone.

I don't have any respect for the show anymore, not since a friends son tried out and told us that some really great singers were turned away to allow for the people who just want their 15 minutes of fame on tv. People who dressed up in weird costumes and couldn't sing were making it through because that is what the American public wants to really see. People making fools of themselves. And you have the freedom to either watch or not watch.

But to make fun of or say mean and hateful things about total strangers just shows me how jealous, spoiled and low-class so many of the kids in America really are. I hope someday that someone else's bratty kid blabs all kinds of stupid things about your dream when you are trying to realize it...........then maybe you will learn something about "Judge not unless ye yourself be judged"

And before you get in a little snit and think that writing some ridiculously ignorant response is going to even make a difference or bother me one iota, save yourself, me and other the trouble. I won't even be reading it.

Grow up kids, do something useful with your lives and make something of yourselves. That is how you can prove you deserve to speak your mind.

114. I'm no expert on who wins on the show--hell, I don't even watch it--but apparently, such are the risks one takes when appearing on "American Idol" or others of its ilk. The hype surrounding "AI" doesn't even touch upon what can happen after the votes are counted and the cheering stops.

As a hopeful novelist, I'm learning success is a crapshoot, and shortcuts can do more harm than good. My advice to fellow hopefuls, take it or leave it, is this: work hard to reach your goals, and don't take any creative steroids, so to speak.

115. Whats the difference in shopping malls and Mcphee performing at charity events and theme parks. There is only a few Idols that have staying power, Kelly Clarkson #1
Ms Carrrie, Fantasia, Sir Daughtry only time will prove thier staying power.

117. Wow.....actually, McDonalds and Hooters would probably pay better, and at least you can get something to eat!

Justin still lookslike sideshow Bob!

118. Actually some of them make decent money doing this. Like $25K - $50K per appearance. Although Constantine Maroulis is a bargain at $11,500. Better get him while he's ... not quite yet frozen....

119. None of those 2 make in the vicinity of 25,000 or 30,000. there are there to promote thieir c.d's which is not selling well. both of them are has been. kimberley might have hit in the radios but her c.d's have not been selling well. her last album has been out for 3 or 4 months now and has only sold 17,000. she is not in the same league like the others i succesful idols. constantine probably falls into the same categuory like those 2. the succesful ones are kelly clarson, carrie underwood, clay aiken, fantasia, chris daughrty and jennifer hudson. only kelly clarkson and clay aiken have toured intensively and made over 34 millions on touring revenues.
