We All Got Pinkeye -- Dung Dang, Y'all

TMZ broke the story yesterday that the dysfunctional clan known as Britney, Kevin, Sean Preston and Jayden James all have pink eye. So what, you may ask, is pinkeye?

While so-called "doctors" might tell you it is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, typically caused by an allergic reaction or infection, TMZ got the down low from, where else, TV and movies!

According to the film "Knocked Up," pinkeye is caused "when poop particles make their way into your ocular cavities," adding that it can occur when you "fart bare-assed onto another person's pillow," often done as a practical joke.
Meanwhile, one of the side effects of pinkeye, according to "South Park," is a desire to travel around in packs, eating the brains of other people.

If you or someone you know has been afflicted with pinkeye, please rent "Knocked Up," or season one of "South Park." Antibiotic eye drops may also be used, but aren't nearly as funny.

46. This 'pink eye' excuse is crazy and I don't believe it.

Pink eye is another name for conjuntivitis. It causes pinkness or redness to the white part of the eye. There can be some slight drainage and itchyness. A person in no longer infectious after being on antibiotic eye drops for at least 48 hours. The drops are normally taken 2 drops to both eyes for 5 days. It's only infectious if another person touches the infected eye of another and then touches their own. Handwashing stops most of the spreading.

I think this is just more BS from the BS crowd and her ass kissing media friends.

48. #5-If you aren't taking out your contacts and cleaning them based on your wearing schedule, bacteria builds up. Bacteria=infection. You also have to toss all of your make up that has been used around your eye, like eye liner, mascara, brushes,etc or else you can reinfect your eye. If you share your bed with anyone and they use your pillow, they can catch it from you. Pink eye is that contagious.

As far as Britney and family, if she or Kevin had it from wearing contacts and the kids came in contact with tears or bed linens, that's how the infection spreads. You can also get it by NOT washing your hands and touching your eye or contact lenses.

Pinkeye can be caused by many of the bacteria and viruses responsible for colds and other infections, — including ear infections, sinus infections, and sore throats.

Pinkeye also can be caused by allergies. These cases tend to happen more frequently among kids who also have other allergic conditions, such as hay fever. Some triggers of allergic conjunctivitis include grass, ragweed pollen, animal dander, and dust mites.

Sometimes a subsubstance in the environment can irritate the eyes and cause pinkeye; for example, chemicals (such as chlorine and soaps) and air pollutants.

Maybe before people quickly blame Britney for her childrens pink eye they should ask a medical professional and get their facts straight.

51. I believe the Brits fambly has a curse due to all the negative attention from the paps.

Pink eye is a minor affliction. There are more serious health conditions brewing.

52. web md..you know alot of contact with all these people taking pics at every turn, its contagious...honestly i think less of this issue than others i have seen with the brit/fed drama..Most cases of pinkeye are caused by:

Infections caused by viruses or bacteria.
Dry eyes from lack of tears or exposure to wind and sun.
Chemicals, fumes, or smoke (chemical conjunctivitis).
Allergies.
Viral and bacterial pinkeye are contagious and spread very easily. Since most pinkeye is caused by viruses for which there is usually no medical treatment, preventing its spread is important. Poor hand-washing is the main cause of the spread of pinkeye. Sharing an object, such as a washcloth or towel, with a person who has pinkeye can spread the infection
