AG on Anna Nicole -- "Serious Crime Has Been Committed"

California Attorney General Jerry Brown says that he requested the search warrants executed earlier today in connection with the death of Anna Nicole Smith because, he believes, "a serious crime has been committed."

In a press conference just concluded, Brown didn't divulge specific details of what he was looking for, and what crimes might have been committed, but told reporters that "playing with dangerous drugs" can result in death and "prescribing drugs illegally is a crime," and he suggested people should "put it together."

As TMZ first reported earlier Friday, eight warrants were served today, including one at the home of Smith's former psychiatrist, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, where Howard K. Stern happened to be time at the search. The Medical Board of California is investigating Eroshevich, who ordered a virtual pharmacy of drugs for Anna, five days after her son Daniel died.

76. Excuse me? What more ideal place for a substance abuser to get drugs than from a doc who prescribes at will. The doc has a responsibility NOT to prescribe at will. HKS CERTAINLY had a responsibility, especially getting prescriptions in his own name and feeding them to her, knowing as a highly educated person with years of experience that this many drugs would kill her. That is so freaking beyond the pale of enabling, acting as a roving dispenser of a pharmacopoeia of drugs that would kill a large herd of elephants. With that logic, drug dealers can sell their clients lethal doses of drugs, watch them take it from a short distance away, and after they drop dead the dealers can dump them in the gutter without going to jail: Wasn't the dealer's responsibility, was it? He didn't make anyone take drugs. So, OMFG, spare us your moments of doubt about whether, because you couldn't do something to save your loved one/weren't able to [and God bless you, I have been in that situation], HKS (who, with Anna, had lots of money), could have done something. Yes. We are ALL our brothers' keepers. HKS=MURDERER

It would not be a coincidence that they gave the search warrant while Howard K Stern was at the residence of the doctor who prescribed all the medications for Howard and Anna.

Good point. Anyone in law enforcement will tell you there's no such thing as coincidence!

Going after the doctors is one step.........it's $tern who needs to be on the hotseat, charged, convicted and imprisoned though.

84. The investigators will not let on what their real motives are right now. They are starting with the obvious, the doctors. That will just be the first layer that they start to peel away as they attempt to get down to the chewy center.

This is just a way to place a connection between Howard and Dr. E. There is no way that he can deny having an affiliation between himself and the doctor. He is seen at the residence of the doctor at an early, early morning hour. That is not just a quick visit with a friend.

88. Several years ago, I developed a drug problem (which thankfully did not last more than a few months before I "woke up"). During that time, I had my very own "Howard Sterns". These so-called "friends" of mine would act oh-so utterly devoted and hang out with me all the time.

Can u guess where this is going?

Once I "straightened up", I realized that these "friends" of mine only hung around for what they could get from me. I had more money than these losers, so it was easy to keep me supplied with drugs (that I shared with them) so that I was messed up all the time. This made it easier for them to get money from me, drugs from me and whatever else they wanted.

I think this is what Howard Stern was doing. He had no problem keeping Anna drugged up all the time because it made it easier for HIM to get whatever he wanted from her. I know its hard to believe that a person could act so "devoted" to someone and have it be fake, but believe me.... money is a great motivator! While I don't blame Stern directly for Anna's drug use (she is responsible for herself), I think he made sure she was always supplied because being f***d up kept her under his control since she could barely function on her own.
