37. I never have understood the venom directed towards Andy on this board. I'm gay and I think he is definitely straight, so I don't know what all you people are talking about in suggesting he is gay. He seems very butch and is extremely athletic, hardly your typical gay guy. (Sorry to perpetuate a stereotype...yes, there are athletic gay men, just not a lot of them.) I certainly don't think he has a big ego either. He seems very genuine and kind.

His body is shaved because today he swam 2.4 miles and then cycled 112 miles — all before running a full distance (26.2 mile) marathon across a Hawaiian lava field in near-100 degree heat. Body hair chafes over the course of a 10+ hour race, and interferes with body cooling and sunscreen.

Andy placed 453 today in a field of 1700 of arguably the most physically fit athletes on the planet. Gay or straight, he’s more man than any of you lard-asses offering up your observations and opinions.

And so what exactly did the rest of you judgmental fat slobs do today? Surf the internet, eat Cheetos and ponder penile shafts and back moles? Good grief, is that what it takes to divert the guilt you feel for being a slug and not accomplishing anything challenging in your life?
