Britney Shops the Pain Away

After an abysmal day in court, Britney Spears went on a $700 shopping spree -- and spent all the money on makeup! Gotta look purtified, y'all!


TMZ caught Brit Brit outside of Neiman Marcus yesterday afternoon, looking extremely frustrated as she tried to leave the store. Sources inside Neiman's tell TMZ she skipped the fragrance counter and went straight to makeup, where she purchased $700 worth of eye shadow, lip gloss, mascara and blush. Britney was extremely nice to sales people, but we're told her skin was not lookin' too good -- hence the paint purchase.

From there, Brit returned to Marina del Rey, where she hooked back up with J.R. Rotem -- more on that later.

34. What y'all fail to understand is that most of us Southern women are plum crazy by birth. You add a hundred million dollars and a million screaming teenyboppers to the mix, and you got yourselves a walking, talking superstar. Our girl Britney? Why she's our mascot for All crazy Southern women! We love Britney!

Y'all should be happy that Kevin is them boys daddy & not they grandpa. That's as good as it's gonna get in your wet dreams and that's a fact. All the rest is not an act and not some strange mental disease. It's just Britney. Straight up. And we're not discussing a little liquor and a few pills now and then either. That's private business.

By the by, don't y'all just love those little pumpkin lights strung across the dashboard of her white Mercedes? Isn't that just the prettiest sight? Well you just wait 'till Christmas! I guarantee we do it up Real Good for that holiday!

35. I'm going to agree with #14 on this...I love TMZ.com, love the mostly sarscastic news (lol), but really, every other article is about Britney...I. Could. Care. Less. I now skip over all those stories. The only reason I'm posting a comment here is because I got curious to see if anyone else was as sick of the Britney news as I am. She OBVIOUSLY wants to be in the spotlight, and the Paps keep her right there. For the love of God, I pay my bills and shop online...she owns everything else, perhaps she should invest in a computer???? Internet service???? Learn to make a taco at home???? I absolutely cannot stand her and her self-destruction, in-the-spotlight pity party that she has been having for the past year! Enough is enough!

39. Okay, # 33...while funny and cute, I'm going to have to disagree. I was born and raised in the South, been here my whole life, and believe me, I am NOT proud of Britney. I am a strong, independent, single mother of two children, myself, and I would shoot myself before I made such a spectacle of myself! Southern women are crazy by birth, I will give you that...but, we are also taught to be dignified and "ladies." We have tempers, are mean as hell, and I'll admit to everyone that I'm the biggest bitch I know, but I have my Southern manners and I am a complete lady in public. She needs to grow up, plain and simple, and find some respect for herself.

45. I am not saying give the girl a break but she obviously is not well. This destructive behavior is alarming - I have always wondered if it is somewhat like post partum depression. I really do not think she knows what she is doing or can see herself. Everytime I read one of your commentaries under her picture I actually wonder if she read it it would push her over the edge further.

Britney if you do read this - you need to surround yourself with people who can help you and stay out of public until you can get control.
