Britney Shops the Pain Away

After an abysmal day in court, Britney Spears went on a $700 shopping spree -- and spent all the money on makeup! Gotta look purtified, y'all!


TMZ caught Brit Brit outside of Neiman Marcus yesterday afternoon, looking extremely frustrated as she tried to leave the store. Sources inside Neiman's tell TMZ she skipped the fragrance counter and went straight to makeup, where she purchased $700 worth of eye shadow, lip gloss, mascara and blush. Britney was extremely nice to sales people, but we're told her skin was not lookin' too good -- hence the paint purchase.

From there, Brit returned to Marina del Rey, where she hooked back up with J.R. Rotem -- more on that later.

51. Britney makes a concience effort to constanstly be out in public every day when she knows the paps will be swarming her.

Notice that she doesn't even go buzzing around Malibu and West LA with bodyguards anymore.

She WANTS that attention from the paps.

Why do several of you idiots posting here keep harping on these tabloid websites to leave her alone?

She does NOT want to be "left alone".

My sentiments exactly, Shannon. I was doing a parody of Britney's personality. She's an embarrassment to us all. I haven't felt so strongly since the Beverly Hillbillies show was on prime time. Truly, I wish she'd just be still for a decade or two.

And to everyone else, there are a good many Southern women in this country who have stunning looks and excellent manners. We call it good breeding. Britney doesn't just humiliate herself - she gives a bad impression for others too. And that's a shame.

57. I'm reading more & more about a movement to have Britney arrested for indecent exposure. Apparently some people are ready to drop a dime & sign the complaint. Guys are fed up with Britney getting away with what they'd be behind bars for. If she can't manage to keep it in her pants, I wouldn't be surprised to see her in handcuffs in the near future.
