Britney Shops the Pain Away

After an abysmal day in court, Britney Spears went on a $700 shopping spree -- and spent all the money on makeup! Gotta look purtified, y'all!


TMZ caught Brit Brit outside of Neiman Marcus yesterday afternoon, looking extremely frustrated as she tried to leave the store. Sources inside Neiman's tell TMZ she skipped the fragrance counter and went straight to makeup, where she purchased $700 worth of eye shadow, lip gloss, mascara and blush. Britney was extremely nice to sales people, but we're told her skin was not lookin' too good -- hence the paint purchase.

From there, Brit returned to Marina del Rey, where she hooked back up with J.R. Rotem -- more on that later.

62. WELL im shocked to say it... But, from the live show, looks like BRITNEY has had it with embracing the stalkeraazzi...I guess she agree's that this bahavoir is weird and did not work for her... looks like she has gotten the mesaage her obsession is over today at least...I know I know she could be just acting as such.....but I hear that even "acting" good behavoir is an avenue to healing and learning it...

64. with all the money Britney has why does she go out "Every day"!!!! for the simple things in life???send somebody to do that for you!!!!talk about wanting attention,and she say,s she sick of the papparazzi yeah right!!!how do they beat her to where she,s going?? kinda like they know where she,s going in advance??Hmmm!! no other celeb is this extreme!! ya think??and your family is here to help??like the south...their a little slow and behind...go to a real shrink...a real rehab...behind real locked doors...stay out of the limelights...and we,ll do lunch right??..cool..or go buy an island kick back and listen to your hair grow...I,m done..P.S. 65. ya know, you all knock the girl, yea she is lookin dirty and doin some wild things, but look up the illness bipolar...........the signs are all there.............it's a shame....but to wish death on someone...not too nice...karma baby....what goes around comes around.............i wish i had $700.00 to spend on make-up, but that is also a sign of the illness...spending and more....just a thought.....later

66. Of course she was buying new makeup. She has pinkeye she has to get new makeup. $700 doesn't seem bad for all new makeup. I mean of course I can get all new makeup for less then $100. But for her it doesn't seem bad.

69. Hope Brit doesn't think that stuff is gonna cover up all the zits she's got from eating all that crappy fast food. She'd better hire a good esthetician to work on her face first. She should also hire a good dietitian and eat the food recommended to lose all that poundage she's put on lately. All this before she starts getting ready for her so-called new "tour." She's got a LOT of work to do for that. Hopefully having some work to do will keep her from riding around all day acting like a jackass.
