Orlando Boom! Actor Involved in Car Crash

Orlando BloomUPDATE: LAPD tells us that Orlando was driving the Matrix when he was cut off by another driver, causing him to crash into a parked Porsche Cayenne. Officers on the scene report speed was not a factor in the accident, nor were alcohol or drugs.

TMZ has learned that actor Orlando Bloom was involved in a wreck involving a car registered to Dariusz Wolski, the director of photography on the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films. The crash took place around 2:15 AM near Fountain and Vista in Los Angeles.

According to a traffic collision report completed at the scene by LAPD, Bloom is listed as the driver of Wolski's black '03 Toyota Matrix.

TMZ shot Bloom earlier in the evening getting into a black Matrix at the Green Door in Hollywood. The cars involved include the Matrix and a Porsche Cayenne that was parked on the side of the street. We also spotted a bloody rag on the ground near the scene. One woman, who was sitting in the backseat of the car, suffered minor injuries.

I feel sorry for you that you have to put up with this nonsense from these Paps
One of these days they wiil kill someone, oops, thats right, They killed Princess Diana.
LAPD needs to bring charges of endangerment against thes Paps. I mean ,really, how come they get to ride around , disobeying traffic laws, and nothing is said.
They talk about celebrities getting special treatment, they are the ones getting special treatment.

19. That video of the crash scene just showed the left rear bumper of an SUV with Beverly Hills paper plates, nothing else. It could have been taken anywhere. This doesn't tell me anything. Bogus media coverage as usualy. TMZ leads the way!

20. Again, some of the dimwitted responders question his sobriety when, right in the story, it says that neither drugs nor alcohol were a factor here.

Another idiot says he should "act" like he knows how to drive. The article says he was cut off. And rather than colliding with a moving car, perhaps he was forced to hit a parked car, assuming it was empty.

How about saving the vitriol for those occasions where it is actually deserved?

22. People here assume way too much. Not every celebrity is a drunk jerk. The LAPD confirmed that drugs and alcohol weren't a factor. Bloom was cut off by another driver. I am going to make an assumption here and say that it was likely the car that cut him off was a photog. Could be a regular person, but I do have to wonder with our obsession with all things celeb.

23. This is newsworthy?? A fender bender. No DUI ? Ahh, it's because it involved a " celebrity". I suppose if he tripped while jogging that would make the headlines also?

Will this pay your bills, feed your family, put money in your bank account, pay for your kids school...
Why do you care so much about people who dont care about you, only that you pay to go to the movies like mindless sheep to get your exscape from life for an hour and buy the dvd...

Unplug and LIVE what's left of your LIFE.

28. The press creates news by creating the accident.

Lawsuit. Sue the press. Personally name the individual photographers who helped contribute to the chase and this accident, which will create more news and more press.

Press is out of control.

29. What's with the long kiss Orlando was placing on the "male" driver of the first car he was in. No one mentioned it. Is he gay???

30. I agree with Janice. Why are the paps allowed to flash blind everyone in sight at all hours of the day and night, drvie with careless disregard of traffic laws and innocent citizens, jaywalk, (as in running through busy streets, climbing over cars, blocking lanes, etc) all without any police action. Citizens get cited for the same action when NOT taking pictures or harassing people, why don't the paps? They do still have enforceable laws in Ca, don't they? Well, other than murder I guess. Just a thought.
