Rapper T.I. Arrested in Atlanta

Rapper T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., was arrested this afternoon in Atlanta. The ATF executed a search warrant at his home, and according to Atlanta's FOX 5 News, T.I., remains in custody.

The agencies at the scene of the federal search warrant include: The ATF, U.S. Marshals: Fugitive Task Force, Fulton County SWAT, Fulton County PD, Dekalb County PD, and the ATF/Atlanta PD Violent Crime Impact Team.

The U.S. Attorney's office will neither confirm nor deny anything about the investigation.

T.I. currently has a number of projects, including a movie with Denzel Washington set for November release, and he was slated to perform at tonight's BET Hip-Hop Awards, scheduled to air October 17. The rapper has nine nominations, more than any other artist at the event.

TMZ contacted T.I.'s rep, who had no statement at the time.

121. He's innocent until proven guilty. I don't think he will be found guilty. He's not only a rapper. He happens to be a pretty good actor. He's done very good things for his community in Atlanta. Now as for Ms. Kelis, well I've heard she has attitude anyway. Most of us women do! I just hope it works out for both of them.

127. I just thinks it's ridiculous of how some people can talk about other people whom they don't know personally and for someone to say lock them up and throw away the key how devilish. I LOVE T. I and am happy of his accomplishments even if some do not understand why some rappers act the way they do. You would have had to have grown up in certain environments to understand and some just dont keep and open mind

132. The United States Constitution states we have the right to bear arms. Period!!! And there is nothing in the Constitution that states that RIGHT can be taken away. Therefore all subsequent laws made to the contrary are unconstitutional. Even if your a felon you still have that RIGHT according to the Constitution. And anyone who thinks otherwise needs to go get a copy and read it. Know your RIGHTS before this soon to be Fascist government try's to take them all away. And you see that's the trick to this matter you can't take away RIGHTS that's why they're called RIGHTS and not privileges.
