23. ANNNNNND, I think people should boycott his new movie: “American Gangster” because it is nothing more than an extension of the same senseless violence. It looks silly, frankly, like Denzel is going through midlife crisis. And, he should know better, as he’s an intelligent man and yet he’s promoting this sort of thriftless thuggery when we ALL know that millions of African American kids are incarcerated and still more are prone to such an end… I’ve lost a lot of respect for Denzel and I don’t care that the movie is biographical…it’s still irresponsible…he knows the statistics (and I’ll add too that he knows the statistics and so he knows that his own son, having a college education, falls into that subset of African American men less likely to be incarcerated in their lifetime) but he doesn’t care because he’s obviously disordered, one step away from a bajan mistress and a leather vest sans undershirt or some shi*… It’s sick that impressionable and impoverished kids will see this movie and feel vindicated in their lawlessness…And, if you think I’m over exaggerating, TI, in his last hit song, brags about a life on par with that of Denzel’s character’s in the movie…

Wow! interesting how many whites line up to judge when they get the chance, yet make no mention of the countless white, non-black entertainers in music i.e. Heavy metal death rock gothic or movies that portray gangster killer type roles. but then again the music is not very popular among the masses as is rap, and the movies are how they present there image to the rest of the world thus the global opinion of the white man.
