Source: T.I. Didn't Do It!

Is he packin' heat or isn't he? A source close to embattled rapper T.I. says that the gun charges leveraged against the hip-hopper are false; T.I. never tried to purchase guns -- it was all his bodyguard.

The source told MediaTakeOut.com that "[The bodyguard] asked T.I. for an advance on his [pay] and T.I. gave it to him. ...Whatever he spent money on -- whether it be guns, drugs, or formula for his children -- T.I. had nothing to do with it." That's it, he was buying formula!

And those guns found in T.I.'s house? "T.I. has security that lives with him and stay with him at all times. The gun that the [federal agents] found belonged to his security team" -- all of whom are licensed to carry them, the source claims.

"The government was just looking to pin a case on T.I. - they've been trying for years. So they pushed [the bodyguard] into snitching on T.I."

But according to CNN, authorities said they found three firearms in the car in which T.I. -- also know as Cilfford Harris -- drove to pick up the machine guns and silencers, "including one loaded gun tucked between the driver's seat where Harris had been sitting and the center console."

Conspiracy, or just caught up?

76. #55 Your entire post is asinine, assuming and imagining "facts and motives" not appearing anywhere but in your own little pea brain. You claim that I am an NRA member, but where do you get this, other than your own imagination? You assume that the firearms are all illegal, yet there is no actual claim of that anywhere, other than in the imagination of some posters.

Since I live in California, there is no application for machinegun and sound suppressor ownership. However, if I move a few hours across the border, to Nevada, it's pretty easy to get the permits; most of my friends there have them.

Also, if you apply for concealed weapons permits, most are recognized in as many as 14 other states and some of them issue to non-residents. Using this knowledge, you can apply for easy to get licenses in Nevada (or Utah) and Florida, you can be covered for concealed carry in 26 states, very handy for those of us who travel a lot.

81. Let's try and sum this up. Rappers, guns, violence, and so-call music equals trouble, prison and death. Thank God Smokey and the Temptations never went thru this garbage!!!!!

82. Ceyllynn: Consider this. I live in a rural mountain community. For a long time, this was a very safe place. In more recent times, meth users and cookers have moved into the area. With them has come some home invasions,, murders and other violent crimes.

Being an older disabled vet and alone, I would be a prime target. The only thing keeping it from happening to me is the fact that people know that I am a very highly rated marksman and that I'm usually armed. I have never unlawfully harmed anyone, but I am very capable of defending myself (and others) from predators. When a known burglar recently asked someone if I am really armed and usually at home, he was told to break in and find out.

If something happened right this second, I would probably not be able to make it to the other room and get my shotgun fast enough to save myself. Leg injuries prevent me from even walking fast. However, the Beretta 9mm (only inches from my hand) would get the job done. Good guy 1 - Bad guy 0.

You can try to outlaw guns, but the 2nd Amendment forbids it. If you repealed the 2nd Amendment, people will never give them up. All you will accomplish is turning people who would never want to commit a crime into criminals and leaving everyone else defenseless.

83. #76 Joker -- I have to re-read what? You haven't shown proof of anything. You're the one that stated that the guns in T.I.'s house belonged to his "security" and that they are all LICENSED. My original question still stands: Says who? You have NO idea who owns those guns, his staff, him, whatever so please STOP it. By the way, my intent is never to insult, just to enlighten.

84. Rapper T.I. has been charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon, and possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, after being arrested Saturday by the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives law enforcement agency right before he was to take the stage at the BET Awards. I hope he gets 20 years in prison.

85. #63 im just saying: you are correct, some people don't read. But don't take the bait, my friend. Oops, maybe a little too late for that advice, eh? Sorry, I had to run out to buy an Uzi, milk, loaf of bread and a couple of hand grenades at the ATF Market. I hope nobody missed me.

#68 TRASH: nobody knows what you're talking about. Clearly, you have your very own
history book that the rest of us aren't privvy to. Most Europeans ARE considered white
and always have been, probably because they ARE. Time for your meds now, be good..........

88. So the government has nothing better to do than persecute black hip hop artist by burying pit bulls in back yard (after they've starved them to death or mutilated them); planting coke, crack, & pot in their homes; stashing assorted firearms in their cars and closets.

Fascinating conspiracy theory until you ask yourself, just what would the government want with a hip hop artist anyway? Exactly.

It's great to see that someone here is intelligent. Seems like we aren't the only ones "not privy" to certain knowledge.

Privy this, how many of your white European brothers actually support you in this "terrorist" war in Iraq?
