Cops to Orlando: Bad Crash, No Problem

Orlando BloomOrlando Bloom smashed into a parked car at around 2:00 AM on Friday after partying at a club, leaving a passenger with a fractured neck. Speaking of leaving -- Orlando left the scene, came back, was never given a blood-alcohol test -- and he's getting off scot-free!

TMZ photogs captured video of Orlando getting into an argument outside the Green Door in Hollywood just after 2:00 AM. The accident occurred shortly thereafter.

X17 got video of Orlando walking away from the scene of the accident, only to return after paparazzi repeatedly told him that leaving would constitute hit and run. Bloom eventually came back and accompanied his injured passenger (who suffered a fractured neck) in an ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Bloom's rep says he immediately called 911 and characterized the fractured neck as a minor injury. She is silent on Bloom walking from the crash scene.

Cops now say they are on the hunt for an SUV that may have cut off Orlando, allegedly causing the crash. They also tell TMZ that walking away from the scene, like Orlando did, isn't necessarily hit and run.

16. Hitting another car and then leaving the scene isn't necessarily a hit and run? Tell that to Britney Spears. Isn't that what she is charged with in yet another "caught on tape" incident?

there's a big difference from being in a more serious crash, wandering around on foot.. than getting out from a scrape, looking and driving away.

18. They make it sound like it's a big deal they didn't do a blood alcohol test. If they had no reason to believe he was drunk (i.e. didn't smell it on him), there's no probable cause to.

22. I SEE STILL NO SERIOUS DISCUSSION ON THE ALLEGATION THAT THE PAPS ACTUALLY CAUSED THE ACCIDENT, WAY TO GO TMZ - SOLIDARITY WITH THE X17 CREW. I MEAN HE'S A CELEBRITY RIGHT, SO WHAT IF PAPS CAUSED HIM TO RUN INTO A CAR RESULTIG IN TWO INJURIES, NO BIGGIE RIGHT............... SORRY FOR THAT OUTBURST, LET'S GO BACK TO BASHING BLOOM.

23. Some people DO care that celebrities and rich/famous people can talk their way into and out of situations that everybody else just has to deal with. It's a double sided justice system we have in the U.S.

24. You need to get your story right. He wasn't speeding, another car hit him and he then hit the parked car because of this. And he was driving alone. No alcohol or drugs were involved.

25. 1) LA cops are a joke.
2) Kalifornia has allowed itself to be over run with illegal aliens

That's why I took my family and my business out of Kalifornia!

26. If there were any justice in L.A. - they'd do the right thing and force all of you douchebag paparazzi out of a job (if that's what you want to call it). Just because someone is a 'public figure' doesn't give you the right to stalk them, cause an accident - then stand around and continue to take photos when someone is injured.

28. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

The LA Cops are DIRTY..."Walking away from the scene is not hit and run."
These people just make the rules up as they go along....
This is not a justice system, but a popularity system...

IS ORLANDO IN HIDING NOW...DID HE RUN BACK TO MUMMY IN ENGLAND?
I am so disappointed in him...but - should have known better - he is a Capricorn...
They do have a brazen edge to them...

29. I voted "yes" on the celebrity justice question, but I have to wonder if they even recognized this guy?

30. i dont understand the question. wtf do you mean 'did orlando get 'celebrity justice''? if you mean did he get off because of his celebrity status. of course he did. double standards eh. one set of rules for normal ppl and a different set of rules and laws if youre famous. its just another reason to hav no respect for cops and no respect for these glorified dummys we call stars. {no offense to orlando, he actually seems/seemed like one of the better ones}
