Imus Plotting Radio Return -- "Ready for War!"

Disgraced radio talker Don Imus has re-emerged after Nappygate, and not in a small way -- he'll be coming to the country's biggest talk radio station on December 3, says the Drudge Report.

The I-Man has made a deal with WABC in New York to bring his "Imus in the Morning" show back to the airwaves in what Drudge is calling an "eight-figure, multi-year contract." That's eight figures, as in, north of $10 million a year. "Don is rested, humbled, and ready for war!" says a studio source.

Still, WABC isn't taking any chances that Imus' often loud mouth won't cause any crazy ripples. "We'll have him on a standard 40-second delay," says the source. Imus settled with former employer CBS over his breach-of-contract lawsuit, reportedly for a cool $20 million.

64. I am thrilled that the most intelligent morning show will be returning! I hope all the children who enjoy this TMZ site appreciate the fact that free speech allows TMZ to make fun of anyone and to say tasteless things. The lynching of a radio icon for a stupid joke gone bad was a very scary preview of what censorship would be like. As far as I'm concerned, if you didn't listen to or watch the Imus show than your comments are meaningless because you have no context other than what was fed to you by media sound bites.

65. Whether any of you like it or not IMUS and the crew are coming back to Radio as stated in the header. Your comments are noted. But frankly the man has done more in his 40 years of radio then you could ever imagine doing in your pitiful lifetime.

Long live the King of Radio. 48 days and 12 hours from now he will be in the drivers seat. 40 second delay or not. He will not make the same mistake twice. I promise you that.

67. Time traveler We don't need ANY role models.

You got that thought WRONG

68. To Candy Cane - I agree - He does say what most think. And to JayR - I agree again - he was not disgraced - he said what most think.

I stand by Imus because I believe he spoke in the spirit of the times and that includes what black people call themselves - the infamous 'n' word. As for Sharprtongue and Jerkson - does anybody really care about either one of these clowns anymore? These two have destroyed their own reputations. Both claim they are religiously spirited men. Was that true while Jackson was having his illicit affair? And Sharpie. Well, Tawana Brawley, um let's see....Duke LaCrosse players, well you know. Niether man has any credibility. All they know how to do is stir up the mud till the whole pond is dirty. Good luck with that you two buffoons.

Imus, I never made it a point to just listen to you - I watched you in simulcast. If listening is all I can do - so be it. I'll take that and wish you well in all your future endeavors. Glad to have you back. Can't wait to hear hear your dulcet tones again.

70. I'm so glad he is coming back. Even though I am not a fan, he didn't deserve the punishment. I hope when Al Sharpton goes to hell he has to listen to Imus for eternity.

71. I don't think that Imus should have been fired..Anyone ever listen to The Howard Stern Show and his roving KKK nut job that phones in from time to time? Stern encourages racism and yet no one ever goes after him..Hmmmm.

72. All I know is that all the parents of autistic children are thrilled that Imus is returning. He's our one voice in the mainstream media and we need him back behind his mic.

If you never heard the show, check it out because it's awesome.

75. This is going to be great. All those people that jumped on Imus's grave? They are TOAST. He is going after Mzzzzz Hillary Rotten Clinton, as well as REV Sharpton and REV Jackson, the two biggest race baiters in the business. Except now IMUS is on the biggest and best talk network in the business. They really do believe in free speech and they won't throw him overboard like the girlie men at NBC. Mzzzz Hillary can kiss her lust for the White House buh-bye. She won't know what planet she's on by the time Imus gets done with her and Billy boy.
