One overly energetic contestant flipped out -- and wiped out -- on Drew Carey's first day on "The Price is Right."
Carey, who appears to be holding his own since the departure of Bob Barker, appeared in his first episode of the game show today, and one woman just couldn't stay on her feet after she came on down.
The lady, Aura, not only showed off her gymnastic skills by doing a cartwheel onstage, she also fell flat on her ass after winning "It's in the Bag." Looks like they've waxed those floors since Barker took off!
16. I think Doug Davidson would make a better host than Drew Carey- Drew talks too fast and is a far cry as a replacement for Bob Barker- If I were Bob,I would be insulted to have been replaced by Drew Carey- He is classless.
18. Today is the first time I watched this show in years, becasue the pervert, whom most believe is a saint is gone. Bob is a dirty old man, but since he gave prizes, people loved him. Drew did a good job. People get excited. As Regis, on Who wants to be a milliaire, one contestent hurt his back badly. But he will do a good job, and I really think he wants people to win, just like his game show 10 something or another. He has a big heart, and really knows what it means to get help/win something. Get him time, he will win you over.

19. hey people give the man a chance it's his first day.... boy ur fast to judge .... i think he will be fine he's probably nervous living up to bob barker but drew just be youself and well be watchinf you for a long time good luck DEE DEE
20. I have loved TPIR for 30 years. People tuned in to watch Bob Barker. Drew made it seem like any other cheezy game show. NO ONE can ever fill Bob's shoes. He is the last of a dying breed of real entertainers. I don't think this new version will last.
21. I am not sure that Drew is the best replacement for Barker either, but I'll give him a chance. If ANYONE in Hollywood deserves a chance these days its a miltary Vet! Drew is one of the few stars today who can make that claim. (He is a former Marine.) GO Drew! I hope you can make it work for you. And anyone who doesn't give you at least a chance should be ashamed of themselves. Thanks for serving!

22. Dedicated to my one .... my only "JUST SAYIN" ... ""FIRST ... just kiddin' ... are you one of the new "GIRLZ ON FLAVOR OF LOVE" ... the name fits ....
23. No one could watch that show today and actually believe it was done well. Drew looked like the board up his butt had a board up its butt. His horrible "did you drive here today?" line was bad the first time and worse the next. Yes, it was his first day and I hope he really improves fast because today was the first nail in TPIR's coffin if he keeps it up there will be more to come. I can not believe people vote so high that they liked him. Seriously people just becuase you love the show dont let them feed you this jackass of a host. Get rid of him
24. As with any kind of change, it takes time to get used to it. When you say Bob Barker, "The Price is Right" just naturally comes to mind. Give Drew a chance, he'll be fine. He'll have his own style as he should. He shouldn't try to be like Bob Barker. I believe Drew will draw the audience in, given a proper chance. He's a brave soul to take on that show, money aside, how many people would have the guts to take over after Bob Barker ? Huh? You go Drew!!!
25. i think drew carey is hot, but not for this show.

26. I watched TPIR today and I really liked it. Drew was a little shaky but he held his own. He'll get better with time. Everybody loves Drew so no worries. I also liked how they made the contestants a little more interactive. Good luck big guy!

27. Well, I've watched TPIR for many years. Very sad to see Bob gone. However. After some awkwardness in the beginning, Drew Carey (who I've never watched before) seemed to do pretty good.
No one can be Bob Barker. No one. He is an icon. However, Drew Carey was fun...funny..and seemed to get along well with the guests.
The show won't ever be the same. We just have to appreciate what we had for so many years and wish Drew Carey the best. I think he did great today. Not easy shoes to fill.
28. I wasn't at all impressed with Drew today. He's probably a nice guy, but he just seems way to "hyper" to me. He has always talked so fast that he's difficult to understand at times. I hope he does okay, but I could think of a lot of folks who would have made the show better for me. I also think it's okay to name everybody, but he must have called out the announcer's full name 15 times...after the first time, he could have just used the guy's first name.....
29. I watched & thought it was a little akward (sp). I also think he will get better with time. You can tell he really wants the contestants to win & he did make me laugh, mostly when he pointed out the medicine for constipation instead of calling them by the brand name. Bob would have never said that- it was a little refreshing.
