One overly energetic contestant flipped out -- and wiped out -- on Drew Carey's first day on "The Price is Right."
Carey, who appears to be holding his own since the departure of Bob Barker, appeared in his first episode of the game show today, and one woman just couldn't stay on her feet after she came on down.
The lady, Aura, not only showed off her gymnastic skills by doing a cartwheel onstage, she also fell flat on her ass after winning "It's in the Bag." Looks like they've waxed those floors since Barker took off!
33. Drew is a guy with a heart of gold and a genuinly nice guy. That fat pig Rosie would have turned TPIR into a complete fiasco. I say give the guy a chance....he has mighty big shoes to fill after all.
35. I think he did fairly good and he will feel right at home in a few weeks or maybe a month or so. It took Whoopi Goldberg a while to fit in and same with Star Jones to start getting comfortable in her new show. Give him a fair chance and he will be better than that old Bob Barker. I did not like Bob anyhow, he looks like a dirty old man and Drew is just a fat and jovial man. I do like him though.

36. I liked Drew. He was good until he told that one lady that she needed Ballys.. Look whos talking there Drew.. C'mon you can't talk to people like that.. But I will give him a chance.. He has to fill Bob's shoes and that will be hard.. Good Luck Drew
38. I'm done watching this show after about 25 of the 35 years Bob was on as host. Drew Carey is not as funny as HE thinks he is and talks too fast so most of us are unable to understand him. There is no enthusiasm whatsoever and I agree with the person who said Richard Karn would have been a much better choice.

40. What's with his - "Let's go buddy, OK buddy, C'mon babe, OK babe, etc." Does Drew know these people? He shows no respect - talks fast, and has no finesse about him. Who made the decision for this person to carry-on this prestigious show? He just doesn't fit in.

41. Oh come on.... that was his very first show trying to fill the shoes of a man that everyone loved and admired. Whenever you start something new it takes a little to get used to it. I think that Drew will come around very soon, and people are going to be just as excited to watch or be there. Way to go Drew!!! Keep up the good Work!!!!
42. It's only day 1, he will find his ground eventually, I'm sure people felt the same way when Bob replaced Dennis James (I believe that was his name or vise versa).
43. i think drew did a great job for his first day. I enjoy him onstage and i get the feeling he really enjoys giving away prizes to people. He is a good host and i cant wait to se more of him.
44. I hope they signed this guy to only a ONE YEAR contract. He shows NO communication or interaction skills with the contestants. I still ask why CBS gave a great game show like TPIR to this bozo.
