"Price" Contestant Flips Out on Drew Carey

Click to return to TMZ.comOne overly energetic contestant flipped out -- and wiped out -- on Drew Carey's first day on "The Price is Right."

Carey, who appears to be holding his own since the departure of Bob Barker, appeared in his first episode of the game show today, and one woman just couldn't stay on her feet after she came on down.

The lady, Aura, not only showed off her gymnastic skills by doing a cartwheel onstage, she also fell flat on her ass after winning "It's in the Bag." Looks like they've waxed those floors since Barker took off!

46. I think Drew will be O.K. , The older people thought Bob was some sort of a saint because he gave them gifts, but,I'd really like to hear more of what the past Barkers' beauty's really have to say about him now that he;s gone.Drew is a fresh face on a stagnant show if you ask me.I think he will work out the bugs and do just fine.Give him some time and I think the show will be better than ever.

49. I watched, I won't make that mistake again, he is a pig. The only one that thinks he is funny is himself. I could not even watch it he was so bad. So much for TPIR. I can see this show going down the toilet.

51. I have no objections to Drew Carey. After all, what is a man to do when he has silly idiots acting out in front of him? The producers should instruct the contestants to use a little more constraint. Being excited and happy is one thing...Acting like an idiot is another!

52. Drew on the Price is Right and John Hurley on Family Feud. Clearly they have been mismatched to these game shows. Switch them. Drew would be great fun as the host of Family Feud and John would make the perfect replacement for Bob Barker.

53. I honestly don't believe you people don't have anything better to do than to watch a washed up game show I don't care who is hosting it. Give me a break....get a job.

54. i just watched the Price is Right last week (they have it on at my nail place) of a rerun with Bob Barker. with all due respect for the elderly, he messed up 3 times. if i had been a contestant, I'd have been very angry.
He messed up the first step of the game, by saying the lowest price was "x" when it was actually 250 dollars less than that! so the 4 contestants were all confused and gave wrong answers. then he didn't explain a flipflop game correctly and the guy lost - if he had explained it correctly, the guy would have won. he also said the guy won at first, when he had lost! it was kind of sad. nobody even bothered to correct him.Drew Carey is great. he is clever and sharp. give him a chance.

56. He did fine for his first day. He is funny in his own way.........not Bobs. Don't blame him for not being just like Bob cause no one can take Barkers place. But give the guy a chance,it was his first day.......I think he did good !!!!

60. As someone else just remarked, Drew was flat, boring, and showed absolutely no enthusiasm whatsover. It was a terrible, terrible performance-- and I do truly like Drew Carey, he was fun and great on "The Power of Ten," so I can't understand his lackluster, indifferent attitude on yesterday's show. I'll be watching today, and hoping there is a definite improvement. But judging from yesterday, I'm deciding I'd rather have Rosie O'Donnell instead. Say what you will about her politics and sometimes overbearing comments, Rosie nonetheless has a great spontaneous sense of humor and instant rapor with everyone-- just the same as Bob Barker. CBS, you really goofed when you didn't get Rosie for the job.
