One overly energetic contestant flipped out -- and wiped out -- on Drew Carey's first day on "The Price is Right."
Carey, who appears to be holding his own since the departure of Bob Barker, appeared in his first episode of the game show today, and one woman just couldn't stay on her feet after she came on down.
The lady, Aura, not only showed off her gymnastic skills by doing a cartwheel onstage, she also fell flat on her ass after winning "It's in the Bag." Looks like they've waxed those floors since Barker took off!
63. As someone else just remarked, Drew was flat, boring, and showed absolutely no enthusiasm whatsover. It was a terrible, terrible performance-- and I do truly like Drew Carey, he was fun and great on "The Power of Ten," so I can't understand his lackluster, indifferent attitude on yesterday's show. I'll be watching today, and hoping there is a definite improvement. But judging from yesterday, I'm deciding I'd rather have Rosie O'Donnell instead. Say what you will about her politics and sometimes overbearing comments, Rosie nonetheless has a great spontaneous sense of humor and instant rapor with everyone-- just the same as Bob Barker. CBS, you really goofed when you didn't get Rosie for the job.
64. I used to catch the DREW CAREY SHOW every once and a while . . . only to determine that the other actors were WAY more talented than Drew. Then I started watching WHOSE LINE - - - - - - ONLY to watch Colin, Ryan, and Wayne. Drew added NOTHING to that show. He has no absolutely NO TALENT compared to the others. I wonder, did his parents pay someone to give him these shows just to get him out of their house?
67. I like Drew, but my friend Burton Richardson would have been a great replacement for Bob. He has actually announced for "Price" when Rod Roddy was on sick leave, and Burton is also the announcer for the Family Feud, and used to be Arsenio Hall's announcer. He has a great voice and tons of charisma, but because he's not a household name he didn't get the job.
70. As was previously said, you cannot replace a legend. Just look at sports, especially college football. Alabama has gone through several coaches since the departure of Bear Bryant, Ohio State and Notre Dame. Bob Barker will always be missed and never replaced. People give Drew a chance or just turn your TV off.

71. I like Drew Carey, just not as a game show host. If CBS really felt the need to continue this show, why for Heaven's Sakes did they not choose a typical game show host. Drew Carey is a comedian, NOT a game show host!
75. I think he did a good job. He's NEW. It takes people awhile to learn the job. Besides, at least he hasn't sexually harassed the models yet. Or been sued. Or isn't like, 95 years old like Barker. Besides, Cleveland Rocks! (Indians 2; Red Sox 1).
