"Price" Contestant Flips Out on Drew Carey

Click to return to TMZ.comOne overly energetic contestant flipped out -- and wiped out -- on Drew Carey's first day on "The Price is Right."

Carey, who appears to be holding his own since the departure of Bob Barker, appeared in his first episode of the game show today, and one woman just couldn't stay on her feet after she came on down.

The lady, Aura, not only showed off her gymnastic skills by doing a cartwheel onstage, she also fell flat on her ass after winning "It's in the Bag." Looks like they've waxed those floors since Barker took off!

76. I guess Drew was the only one willing to take this gig. I think Tom Pergeron( spell) who is on Funniest home videos and Dancing with the Stars would have been an excellent replacement. His ad libs are priceless and he is a natural. Drew Carey always stammers and seems like he is afraid of the camera. I don't see him lasting long. How can an Icon like Bob Barker be replaced. It's like no one replaced Johnny Carson, It's just other people doing late night.

78. I watched Drew his first day. i think he was nervous, because of replacing a 35 year icon. who wouldn't be nervous. he talked way to fast and ran the games way to fast. but as someone else said, tweak his performance and slow him down and i think eventually he will do ok...............................

79. Bob Barker was the WROST, and I finally quit watching the show because of him and his smugness and insincerity. He had a great contempt, which he was unable to hide, for "Barker's Beauties" and for the contestants, at whom he practically sneered.
Drew IS the right person to host the show. I'll start watching again, on my day off! Kudos to whomever saw the need for a different personality type as host for the show. Thank GOODNESS that the fans were spared a bout of Rosie!

82. I watched Drew, and I felt like he was uncomfortable. He doesn't interact well with the contestants. I think this will go away with time, and he will relax and do a great job. I believe he is just "out of his element" being so close to the public. Taping a sit-com is a lot different from actually having the audience right next to you, I think. With his great sense of humor, and warm personality, it will all shine through soon.. I hope!

84. It amazes me how so many silly comments are made on stories like this. Give Drew a chance and give him a boost to feel such awesome shoes as Bob Barkers;.

85. Now, Now everyone, let's give Drew a chance. Ok sure, his first day was a little bad, But it was just one day. My grandmother remembers, When Bob Barker first took over as host, Not to many people liked him either, you just gotta give him a chance. That's all I'm saying. By the By, I have to be honest, your comments have been funny..

87. O.K. people. Drews gonna catch alot of crap for no other reason than having to be the guy who steps into Santa Clauses shoes after the funeral. Bob Barker had his own niche on this show but lets be real. I've seen this show since the 70s and It's a simple carnival game. if it wasn't for Bobs unique deliberately slow yet just this side of condecending delivery to contestants there wouldn't have been much there other than the prizes. Alot of People will miss him like they miss their parents because he spoke to you just like they or any other authority figure would have spoken to a child after about fifteen attempts of trying say, "you really need to get a clue " . The unique part about Bob was he spoke to contestants like that from the minute he met them. Bob was cool but hes gone now. Give Drew a real chance. Of course , some of you won't be happy until he hauls off and bitch slaps a contestant for guessing a price that was sooo obviously wrong. Thats when all these nay sayers will probably stand up and say "Now that's what I'm talking about.. .. Drew is the man !!!!.

88. Drew is definitely no Bob Barker but honestly I didnt think he was that bad. He will never be a Bob Barker type so everyone has to get a grip and realize that or else just dont watch the show. At least they didnt get "milk n cookies Donny Osmond" to do it, you talk about how a show would have died??? LOL Just give Drew a chance, he will come around.

90. You go, Drew! You are a funny guy with great charisma. I'm sure you'll last even longer than that old petrified pervert, Barker.
