"Price" Contestant Flips Out on Drew Carey

Click to return to TMZ.comOne overly energetic contestant flipped out -- and wiped out -- on Drew Carey's first day on "The Price is Right."

Carey, who appears to be holding his own since the departure of Bob Barker, appeared in his first episode of the game show today, and one woman just couldn't stay on her feet after she came on down.

The lady, Aura, not only showed off her gymnastic skills by doing a cartwheel onstage, she also fell flat on her ass after winning "It's in the Bag." Looks like they've waxed those floors since Barker took off!

91. I have been on the show (Show 4041) and Drew Carey is horrible. I was appalled at his x-rated humor and extremely inane jokes. He acted like he was on the comedy stage doing a routine. Very fake and not genuine in the least bit. He stereotypes African-Americans and is a racist. He uses inappropriate dialogue during my taping. If you watch the show I was on #4041 and they have not spliced the tape- you should pay attention to the beginning of the segment in which he asks the contestants what they do for a living. I would rate him a minus ten for his performance. I was not a fan of Bob Barker and I was looking forward to a fresh face; however, Drew Carey is a face of failure for CBS and the game show.

93. Hey everybody, the star of the show are the games. People love the games. Any actor/entertainer could host the show with some practice. That's what they do. Everybody in the country envisions themself up there playing those games knowing that they could win. Bob's an icon because he did it for 35 years. Gene Rayburn of Match Game fame was an icon because he did for so long. Anybody could have done it. As far as Drew goes, he will work his way into it and be wonderful if he wants to. I hope he does, because he does have a sense of humor.

94. Drew was OK but lacked enthusiam. Bob had Charisma.
I think Richard Karn is Mr. Personality and would be perfect as
TPIR host.

98. No one can or should be expected to fill Bob Barker's shoes as everyone has their own style and personality. However, negativity in comment directed to the contestants, unless they are acting like idiots, should be minimal. Anyone for Jeff Foxworthy or Bill Engvall trying this out?

99. Drew Carey is not good at anything....He has a very dry personality, he is not funny. Anytime he has worked in television it was his co-hosts/workers who carried the shows..He sucks.

100. Bob Barker is EVIL!!!!! He is well known as a TV game show host, But he also is the head of one of the largest manufacturers of inmate clothing, supplies, etc. All made in china in sweat shops and marked up 700% and sold to prison systems and county and local jails with taxpayers money. Bob Barker is an EVIL man who exploits our system and our citizens and the inmate population!!

101. i admit to being a bit disappointed that some quick ad-libs and improvisation (that carey is known for) were missing from the show, but i attribute that to first day jitters and carey's responsibility to explain the games, not to mention breaking for the commercials and keeping the show moving along. sure, barker was very smooth, but he was doing the show for nearly 1/2 a century!

give drew a chance to settle in, get comfortable with the show's games and format, and i'm sure we'll be seeing him become more relaxed and throwing out quips before you know it.

what i really liked was drew asking each of the contestants when they came on down "how're ya doin'?". that's something i've NEVER seen barker do in his 50 yrs. of hosting game shows! you (and cleveland) ROCK, drew!! here's to many successful years!

102. LOL I agree with #13!!!! Bob was a TV icon, yes but a perv and very arrogant. The way he used to PUSH people to the side or off stage when their turn was over. That "long" microphone was a substitiute for something else. I'm sure he's a good person in "real" life but remember people all he ever did was host a game show. Oh yeah, and fool around with all the "lovlies" which by the way really weren't "that" great at all. LOL Good Luck Drew !!!! I think you are hysterical, sincere, sweet and LONG OVERDUE for some recognition !!!!!!!!!!

104. Well all i have to say is i sure do hope Drew becomes more out going like Bob was when Drew says the Price is Right he don't sound like he really wants to do the game and he is there for the money , i know it's his first day yesterday and we have to wait and see how he will do i feel if he don't get into it with in a few months they need to fine someone like Bob was he always made the people he called down laugh but with Drew i don't see that happien but again we will see .Who knows he just might show us off but i don't see that happen .
