Celebrity Feuds
Ellen Breaks Down on Her Show

The usually upbeat Ellen DeGeneres was anything but on today's episode of her show -- stopping her opening monologue to give a passionate, tear-filled speech about her recent dog troubles.

After walking on to the usual applause, Ellen quieted the audience and explained that, "Today is a hard day for me ... I am not capable of coming out and pretending to be funny when things are going so terribly wrong right now."

Wiping tears from her eyes, Ellen went on to talk about her ongoing battle with a dog rescue group that took back a dog Ellen adopted after discovering the talk show hostess had given it to her hairdresser.

Tonight's TMZ TV has all the latest on the developing story. Watch today's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to see the rest of her passionate plea.

88. Some of you people are truly HEARTLESS to be disrespectful of such a horrible situation that Ellen is in.

To those of you who state: "It's just a dog" have obviously never been owned by a pet; heart and soul. Maybe you should try it! I find animals a hell of a lot nicer than most people.

90. Ok, I am not sure what her sexual preference has to do with anything. Just because she is a lesbian does not mean that she is not entitled to be emotional or cry. This just shows that she is a good person who truly cares about issues.

For those of you that have criticized her, have any of you watched her show, have any of you seen how much she raised for Katrina, what about what she did for families of the Troops, Breast Cancer, etc. That's right; she is one of the most giving celebrities I have seen in the public eye. I think she is worried about the dog, but I think she was worried about the family as well. People need to give her a break. I have four dogs and when they get sick it is just as hard as if it were a human. If you don't like dogs or animals, that is your choice, but I think this issue is relevant and that family deserves to have the dog back.
