Brad Garrett Swings at TMZ -- Again!

Brad Garrett bitchslapped a TMZ photog back in August, after taking out some frustration on the wrong guy -- and yesterday went on TV to actually defend his hit.

Garrett was on "Good Day L.A.," where he slammed TMZ by saying, "They're not journalists" -- and that he was "ambushed" while on a date at Nobu. Garrett also said he hit a man wearing a turban. That was not the case. The guy he actually hit was our turban-less cameraman!

What Garrett failed to mention were the alleged racial slurs behind the incident. On the night of the slapping, one of the photogs in front Nobu told Brad that he was offended by remarks Brad made toward black people. Obviously upset by the question, Brad turned and hit our guy -- who hadn't said a word the entire night.

Dorothy Lucey rallied support for Harvey Levin though, and said, "He's an investigative reporter, he's the only one left in television news." Thanks, Dorothy!

32. Why is everyone assuming he hit this guy? It looked more like he shoved the camera out of his face. The guys following him were the ones making the rude comments. Do you expect someone who's only human to continuously take comment after comment and never react? I've watched similiar scenes with these so called reporters and celebrities. They follow them around like mutts in heat. There's no respect for their personal space. A real reporter respects personal space, asks if they can interview someone, and asks permission to photograph them. A real reporter doesn't following someone around making rude comments and insulting them. I think Brad acted appropriately--and as most of us would in the same situation. There are some pretty aggressive comments on this page. That's a pretty good indicator that most of you would have reacted the same way, if not worse, then Brad. Think about it.

33. It is rather difficult to distinguish who lies in these type of things. Perhaps, it would be wise for TMZ photographers to carry around a digital voice recorder. So, if so-and-so really did say such-and-such there would be evidence. Just wear a ballcap that says, "I'm not just taking your picture but recording audio too." Might pick up some EVPs too.

Harvey is a investigating journalist ? oh come on, you take picture and hang out at the courts for papers to be filed, i enjoy you guys at tmz but sometimes you guy think your saving the world. and a photog that is quite all night ? show me one guy who is not horse from screaming all day. get a grip tmz

40. Brad is right. No one at TMZ is a real jounalist, with the exception of Harvey Levin. However, even that is debateable, since he was the outdoor question guy on the People's Court...who the hell did he piss off for that job. I know he is or was an attorney. The rest of the TMSleaze gang are a bunch of young, star gazing, dumpster diving wannabes, who couldn't get a job with a real news channel or periodical.
