Celebrity Justice
Commish to Brit -- Can You Hear Me Now?

britneyTMZ broke the story that Britney lost visitation because she violated Commissioner Scott Gordon's order to provide contact info to the people who were supposed to conduct the random drug tests.

We're told Britney provided a cellphone of an ex-assistant, and the number may not have even been current. We're also told that her lawyer told the Commish that cellphone reception in Malibu is difficult. That's actually true, but HELLO ... LANDLINE! Ring-a-ding dang, ya'll.

137. Stephanie, you are definitely an enabler. This judge is not picking on Britney. He's telling her the same thing he tells other drug addicts in his court: You can't pass a drug test, then no visitation. Real cut & dry. She needs help but unfortunately she does not think so. So until Brit realizes she has a problem and gets help, no she should not have the boys. Instead of hanging out at various gas stations, and Starbucks she ought to ring up Tatum O'Neal.

139. She is getting a raw deal from this jerk. Britney has been very good since all this crap has started. This commish is not being objective and he is coming down on her hard because she is Britney when he should be looking at her as just another mother. While her behavior has been bizarre i never saw her children with her during this behavior. There is no evidence of neglect, no evidence of abuse and she has passed numerous urine screening so now there even isn't any evidence of a substance abuse problem. This whole case has become a circus. This commish has control of Britneys whole life and she has really stepped up to the plate to prove herself only to be screwed for something so asine. Had this been any other mother this would not even be an issue. I hope that Britney hangs in there and continues her fight. I hope that she pays no attention to you more morons who judge her so harshly. And when this is all said and done i hope that she spits in that commishs face.

140. OH MYGOD.... That crazy bitch ....They really do need to take those kids away. All she cares about is having her picture taken going in and out of gas stations. I bet if by some act of God they would stop taking her picture. THEN and ONLY Then she would get some kind of help.... But right now those poor babies need a real mother not some drunk hillbilly. poor kids

141. I'm not a lawyer, but I am well aware of my first amendment right. I have the priviledge to my own thought process. I can excercise it just fine without reaching a consensus on who will concur.

Just as some of you neglect to remember that she is a human being who is battling an addiction and most likely a mental illness, I reserve the right to feel that there is still hope for her still. I'm not a fan on the fringe of a breakdown because Britney has spiraled out of control. I've acknowledged that she is a train wreck and fallen short of being a good mother at the moment. I simply dissent from the relentless commentary that she should be kicked while she's down. We all need a helping hand and encouragement. There's not a stone where my heart should be.

Furthermore, I fail to comprehend how I am an enabler. I have never met the woman nor do I interact with her; wishing her well and recovery is not tantamount to sanctionig her behavior. Britney needs help. I hope that she receives. For not only her sake, but her boys. Are church officials "enablers" for loving the sinner despite the sin?

Lastly, my initial post was knee jerk. It seemed "petty" that a judge would rescind visitation simply because he did not have the proper contact info.

143. I think britney should start collecting paps phone numbers that way judge could find her that way

144. Stephanie, perhaps this could be viewed as enabling...

The judge said no clean drug test-no visitation. For the safety of her children, they shouldn't be with her if she's using.

She didn't comply with the order to supply the drug test by giving the wrong phone numbers. This is viewed in court the same as a failed test. Asking the judge to overlook this enables Britney to continue to use drugs and still get her kids.

145. She clearly does not care if she has her kids or not. She needs to grow up. Dumbass

146. She's not a young girl, she is a WOMAN and was a WOMAN who was married when she got pregnant with BOTH of those boys. God Bless them.

148. #147, I dialogue with individuals like Merz and Legal Mind who can have constructive dialogue. I can do without the condescending posts, inferring that I have authorized the judge to be disbarred because I deemed his actiond "petty". It is pety to strip vistiation because of wrong contact info. I'm assuming that he rendered his judgment on this basis alone. If so, it's petty. If you disagree, tell it to Oprah. LEAVE ME ALONE.

Merz, you're right. She has failed to comply with the edicts set forth. I would never suggest that children be placed in the custody of an impaired parent. However, I do sympathize with Britney because I do believe she is the throes of an addiction. If I could, I'd take her to rehab myself.

149. Can you imagine the uproar if the judge had not suspended visitation and during the next visit Britney, with drugs in her system, stumbled and fell while holding one of the kids, injuring him?

The judge would be tarred and feathered at best!

150. Gee, I wish I could delete individual comments, then I wouldn't have to see Stephanie's comments on my screen. Stephanie, please don't reply to me. I'll just ignore it.
