33. when I was a kid I went to see copperfield play in my hometown..I was so excited...there was kid sitting in front of me going on and on about he was going to be picked to go up on stage...I didnt get what he was talking about until coppefield did a trick where he was supposed to randomly pick someone from the audience by throwing something into the crowd...this kid, natrually, caught it....and that same year I saw the same trick on his tv special and have seen it countless times since then..it was then I lost any interest I had in this man and his over dramatic crap.

36. Oh,and another time, when I was much older, we went to see him again,and during his big finale..a disappearing act, we actually saw him escape offstage, half the audience caught it and booed..it was THAT obvious..hes become a sloppy has been, not that I thought he was that great to begin with.

FBI agents stormed the warehouse and took a number of items for their investigation. But the case has many twists and turns.

Outside the warehouse, there are a number of animals from his act, as well as a small fleet of trailers with Copperfield's name on them.


Agents from the Seattle FBI office were investigating in Las Vegas, but they would not say if they were targeting Copperfield or someone else. The agent says other state FBI offices become involved if tips or leads originate from that area, meaning there is some connection between Copperfield and Seattle.

The local FBI office confirmed that agents also went to the MGM Grand. The Hollywood Theater is Copperfield's base of operations during his bi-monthly gigs. The FBI says the MGM was not a target but would not confirm a search of the theater, only saying they were not releasing information at this time.

Copperfield has a Las Vegas attorney, David Chesnoff, who issued a statement Thursday. He told Eyewitness News, "We understand there is an investigation, (we) are in touch with the investigators, and are respecting the confidentiality of the investigation."

Copperfield is scheduled to perform at the MGM in mid-November. He has a tour in Indonesia next week.
