Ellen DeGeneresEllen DeGeneres has canceled the taping of her show today.

This comes days after an emotional week for Ellen, who broke down in tears on Tuesday's show, as she recalled how Iggy the dog was ripped away from her hairstylist's home by a rescue organization.

The show issued this statement: "Ellen is taking a long weekend and will be back with a new show on Tuesday."

We're told that Ellen's producers asked country crooner Keith Urban -- who was previously scheduled to appear on the show -- to perform for audience members who had already arrived for the taping, not knowing it was canceled.

68. Everyone reaches their breaking point. Just because she's rich and famous doesn't mean she doesn't have problems going on in her life. This is probably the icing on the cake with things going on in her life and she needs a break. Everyone needs a break. You guys need to back off.

Oh you mean like M&M's Baktis pushed around a little girl when she lied saying she was entering the home to do a home study. Instead M&M's bullied the child, and family stormtrooped the home and snatched Iggy away under false pretenses!
I agree James, someone needs to investigate not only the whereabouts of Iggy , but Baktis home as well. This is not a normal animal rescue, it more like a black market for the reselling of stolen, or lost dogs!

74. Maybe Ellen is just burnt out, maybe peri-menopausal ? (yah it's happens kids) and this "debacle" has forced her to take a couple days off.

Oh MY GOD!! STOP the presses! The world as we know it has come to an end, how will you people cope? How dare Ellen take a long weekend off? Who does she think she is? Human? That bitch should be taken out and stabbed and then burnt at the stake.

Clearly everyone writing on this site live in the lap of luxury, never had to work for a living, never had to answer to anyone or DO anything at all because it's all done for you. No worries at all in the world. So OBVIOUSLY it stands to reason not one of you could POSSIBLY be expected to understand another human being under stress of any kind. 75. I have never seen such inflexible and "to the death' steely stubborn obstinance as I saw in the eyes and response (to Ellen's plight) of Marina Baklis who owns the dog rescue operation. You don't have to look long or hard until you see that there is NO mercy no compassion and no goodwill in any way shape or form near or part of her. And with her latest response to questions about her giving the dog back (which was a flat NO !) its obvious that she's all about' 'punishing' be it Ellen and or anyone who dares questions or crosses her. Marina and her business partner and her lawyer Fink (appropriate name) are major 'icks' in the pool of humanity.
