TMZ was the only camera at the home where little Iggy was taken Sunday night, when Ellen and Portia frantically arrived, only to find the dog was already gone.

It's emotional, raw and heart-wrenching. Watch Ellen, Portia, Ruby (the little girl) and Cheryl (Ellen's hairstylist) describe the blow-by-blow of how Mutts and Moms steamrolled through the home and took the pup.
Take a look at the backyard confrontation where Marina Baktis of Mutts and Moms scooped up the pooch as cops decided who would walk away with Iggy.
661. I hope this Marina Batkis loses her organization. A control freak like her doesn't deserve to work with animals. Give Iggy back to the family that loves him already!
662. I don't get it!!! The hospitals let people go home with babies and no one follows up on the infants! I can understand that rules are rules, but this went too far. All they had to do was quickly interview the new owners and be done with it. Although, Great Von Sustren interviewed the Mutts and Moms attorney and he claimed that Ruby's family "refused" to make their own application and/or do an interview. (I mean, I like dogs, but it is just a dog!)
666. This is A typical for these so called animal replacement safe havens I tried to adopt for 3 months..and because I did not have my 19 year old siamese who would have died if I took him out!! he did not get to be 19 if he were not taken care of! they refused to give me a kitten..I have a 1 1/2 year old bengal and finially decided the h. with these idots..and went out and bought a 1 1/2 year old aby..
My cats live better then some kids and believe have a fab! life.. I will never adopt an animal to go thru all the stress and crap NOOOO I GUESS IT'S BETTER TO KILL SOME OF THESE ANIMALS...THEN GIVE THEM A GREAT HOME!
Some of the folks I dealt with were neutrotic idiots...and because of this many of these sweet little animals will live in a cage or be put to death...
What Ellen did was a good thing...and this should have NEVER HAPPENED!
668. The people running this particular rescue operation must think they are gods of some sort. This was unreasonable, and nothing more than a control issue. I hope something comes of this, and they are made to return this puppy, and make a public apology. I never heard tell of such nonsense. I do not believe most rescue people behave in this manor. It's too bad they conned their way into this home. Had anyone known how underhanded they were, they would not have been able to pull this off.

670. My only wish is that everyone would be so concerned about a child that is abandoned. Taken from foster home to foster home with no one giving one one moment. Iggy should have remained in a loving home ellen provided. that's the end of the story for me.
671. It is obvious that MARINA is a homophobe. This was a personal attach on Ellen. It is too bad that the only losers are the animals she rescues, or should I say capitalizes on. After all MARINA is in it for the profit.
672. Well, if they did kill the dog, I hope they at least used the meat. I mean you could use some of the dog meat for stew, then boil the carcass for soup.
673. What is really scary about all of this is the shear rage many of you have! Die, Kill, knock her teeth out, burn this, boycott that....it is really scary.
This group has rules and contracts just like many other types of businesses. If the speed limit is 55 and you get caught doing 65, should we have the cop killed ro burn his house down?
They put these rules in place for a reason, I am guessing for the safety and well being of the animal. I read that the application was long...do you think this is just to piss people off or is it to hopefully put the animal in the best situation possible???? They do this for a reason and way too many of the people on here think it is just to make life hard for someone else.
If Ellen gives the dog away to a friend and then something bad happened to the dog, would many of you be as outraged against Ellen? I bet that would be the agency's fault as well wouldn't it.
I have an issue with "Sure she signed a contract, but so what". Rules and laws are the foundation of our society. What would happen if we all were able to decide which rules/laws we want to follow or not?
Bottom line is this....Ellen was out of line, she hadled this very poorly in my opinion. Playing the TAPED tear-filled segment only made it worse. I really think if she would have called the agency and told them what was really going on, it could have been worked out. Did M&M over-react, a little bit. Was it a power play by both sides, sure it was.
It is important to start atthe very begining..Ellen did something wrong and it took off from there.
Once again, many of the comments are truely scary to read about violence, death threats, burning peoples houses/businesses down, that is just crazy.
674. Re - comment #22, sunshine - if you watch the video again, you'll hear that Ruby girl say something about how they DID NOT fill out the application, as it was 'longer than a school application." If they really wanted the dog, they should have at least bothered to complete an app!
675. I find the entire "Iggy" situation awful for the innocent children and all the animals that will suffer repurcussions as a result of adults who do not "play well with others". Outside of contracts etc there is something called compassion, as well as empathy, and lastly common sense that could have prevailed. Imagine the positive press that could have been generated for this particular rescue group if they had acted with some level of decency and kindness. The outcome could have been a windfall for their group and it's stated mission, plus two little girls would not be left with emotional scars and distrust of adults for life. Shame on this commando mentality! Last time I checked this is still the USA and they would of had to break and enter before I would have allowed them in my home. Then with most certainty, M/M would be sitting in a cell, not fleeing a home with a puppy "on the lamb"!
