Ellen, Portia Rush to Home Where Iggy Was Taken

TMZ was the only camera at the home where little Iggy was taken Sunday night, when Ellen and Portia frantically arrived, only to find the dog was already gone.

It's emotional, raw and heart-wrenching. Watch Ellen, Portia, Ruby (the little girl) and Cheryl (Ellen's hairstylist) describe the blow-by-blow of how Mutts and Moms steamrolled through the home and took the pup.

Take a look at the backyard confrontation where Marina Baktis of Mutts and Moms scooped up the pooch as cops decided who would walk away with Iggy.

676. I manage a shelter and it's sure differently run than theres is,the name tells me everything and how they feel about animals.Sounds like there in it for the attention they seem to be getting. And Ellen why does she keep getting our four legged friends if she don't keep them....I think both the the shelter and that woman plus ellen and her companion need a kick in head for this....JUST LIKE THE MOVIES....SICK

677. You don't adopt a pet from an animal adoption agency and then give it away!. She violated the contract. And she is right........it was her fault.

678. they just have left the dog where it was, over at ellens friends, this is ridiculous
poor ellen, you can obviously tell she cared about that dog

680. Obviously a good home was found for Iggy. Perhaps with the $600 donation that Ellen made, Marina will be able to get some mental help for her control issues. (The contract said that they could find it a good home if Iggy didn't work out for them).

If this woman didn't deem what happened as acceptable, she should have filed charges and had this issue resolved thru the courts. Not go into a home under false pretenses and essentially steal it because she didn't change the name on the micro-chip.

681. I like ellen's work very much, and think she wasn't quite aware of the power her show has. If she had been aware, she would not have created this mess.
Rescue people are angels on earth. What they have to see in order to save as many cats, horses and dogs as possible would do in lesser people.
This rescue organization is absolutely correct to have legal protection for the animals they place. For Ellen and Portia to have disregarded what they signed and just place the dog where they wanted to instead of honoring the contract, is not admirable.

Fans of Ellen's should not criticize the rescue people for doing their jobs.

682. Okay, this is about nothing more than that Marina's woman pride, IMO. The pertinent facts are that SHE is the one that supposedly made sure Ellen and Portia's home was suitable for Iggy. It turned out not to be, but it was not Marina who made that important determination. Ellen and Portia did, and they did what they could to try and help Iggy fit into their household. Now, instead of them giving Iggy back to a woman who clearly was more interested in Ellen's donation than the dog's welfare and couldn't even pick the right home for him the first time around, Portia and Ellen find the dog a BETTER home that they are able to CLOSELY monitor for two weeks to see if it's a good fit. THEY are better judges of a good home and more interested in animal welfare than this Marina person. What's more, it was their dog at the time they placed Iggy in the new home, not Marina's dog, no matter what the un-updated microchip said. I think it would be a good idea for Ellene to mobilize a group of other reputable rescues and locate suitable families looking for pets to try and take all of the remaining animals from Mutts and Moms. Those people should not be in business if they are more interested in a principle that pales in comparison to the care needs of a dog in their possession.

683. I think that, that Lady gots some kind of problem with Ellen and Portia. Of some type cause, because she really wanted that dog back! Another thing is that she could secretly like her? (but she can't have her)? idk It could be alot of things .... One last thing she probably thought that this is her chance to get on t.v. just for rataling up Ellen's life..
