Ellen's Last Words on Iggy -- Stop the Violence!

After pleading over the airwaves for Iggy the Dog for the past few days, Ellen DeGeneres is giving her final statement about the situation.

After her usual dance onto the set of her talk show, a somber DeGeneres told the audience, "I think this is the last time I'm talking about this." In the episode, airing today, Ellen goes on to say how appreciative she is for all the letters and e-mails she's received, but warns her supporters not to resort to violence to make their point.

The only way she'd bring up Iggy again, she says, is if she's "lucky enough to say one day to you, Iggy has returned ... we'll have Iggy on the show to show you if that happens."

46. Just another celebrity who thinks she's above the law. Regardless of the details, the bottom line is that Ellen thought she could use her status as a big, bad celeb to leverage this firm into bending their rules for her. Kudos to them for not bending.

49. "Crazy Lady"- I feel your pain. I think its kinda silly too. However, thats how alot of people are who dont have kids...they fixate on their animals (look at Oprah). So yeah, while normal people like you and me would never sob uncontrollably over an animal, to her this was like losing a person. Strange I know, but i think we all know some crazy cat people.

51. I also agree with removing the rescue name from the chip. Obvisously the rescue group has not been honest about their name remaining on the chip. As the primary owner, this means they can come and take the dog anytime they want. Why this big brother approach? You're not adopting the dog, just renting it until the agency decides it wants it back. What an eye-opener.

52. Well, maybe Mutts and Moms will go out of business! They were OBVIOUSLY on a mission just to PROVE A POINT with NO REGARD TO THE DOG.

At best, they should have inspected the home for suitability and then transferred ownership.

Then, they hurry up and place the dog in another home OR SO THEY SAID.........

53. Sweet frozen nibblets, she's surprised that it has gotten out of hand after she blithered like a crazy loon?

This story is past old. Hasn't Britney had to go to a service station or Starbucks or something?

56. Ellen and Portia have given us all reason to believe in love again. They have risen humanity up to a new level. We all know that they would have given iggy a great home. These rescue women are just jealous and hateful. They are probably in unfulfilling relationships. Stop the hate!

57. Look Prnzez, if you don't want to play, go somewhere else. For the rest of us, this won't end until this dog nazi does the right thing.

58. Using a televison program to try to resolve your own private business dispute is beneath contempt. Ellen DeGeneras is just another celebrity who thinks she is above the rest of us. She should have read the contract in advance. If she didn't like the contract as it was, she could have purchased a dog from a breeder or gone to a shelter. Now, she's ruining someone's life because she signed a contract and just didn't want to abide by it. I hope she gets sued big time.
