Ellen's Last Words on Iggy -- Stop the Violence!

After pleading over the airwaves for Iggy the Dog for the past few days, Ellen DeGeneres is giving her final statement about the situation.

After her usual dance onto the set of her talk show, a somber DeGeneres told the audience, "I think this is the last time I'm talking about this." In the episode, airing today, Ellen goes on to say how appreciative she is for all the letters and e-mails she's received, but warns her supporters not to resort to violence to make their point.

The only way she'd bring up Iggy again, she says, is if she's "lucky enough to say one day to you, Iggy has returned ... we'll have Iggy on the show to show you if that happens."

61. Portia signed the contract, not Ellen.

The owner of Mutts and Moms is a spiteful bitch, taking a dog away from a loving twelve year old girl.
Apparently a hairdresser is not good enough to place the dog with, the owner only wants rich people.

DISGUSTING!!! Hopefully, no one will ever giver her money again.
Is she Iranian? Bakti-something sounds Iranian.

63. She took the dog back so she could get another 'donation' for it. That's how it works. It's all about the money. No money from the poor twelve year old.

66. #57 you should really read the facts before spouting about ruining lives. Ellen did nothing but state the truth. She did not slander the woman or group. She went on air because the woman flat out said she was taking the dog and if they made it hard she would take it to the media herself. Ellen was upset for the family and the loss of the dog. Animal lovers get upset. Friends get upset if they hurt you and your family.

The reality is these skeezes are running a 'non-profit' agency that California has suspended nonprofit rights to. Obviously there was a reason for that. They keep preaching contract. Contracts are paper. They are an agreement that one can use to prove an agreement was made between two parties. Consumer law beats out contract every time. Consumer law states you get an item it belongs to you and nobody can come take it back. This was listed as an adoption. Not a foster environment. Had the contract stated this is not an adoption but only a home for the dog as long as we deem it a home and can remove it at any time for any reason. It does not. Ellen and Portia own the dog. If the contract was so important why did the home not get visited? No checks? This dog is old enough to have been fixed and it was not. Ellen should get that portion of her money refunded from the agency since it was part of the adoption fee. She had to pay for it herself. The reality is the minute she walked out with the dog the M&M people should have signed over the computer chip to her. They did not. If they were so worried about Iggy they would have 'dropped in' to Ellens to see how the dog was doing. If this goes to court M&M will end up losers. They dont have a leg to stand on. They ruined their own rep. They lied about why they were coming to visit. Had they said on the phone we dont allow adoptions to families with kids your age period maybe it would have been different. They made them fill out an application. Gave them hope. Then lied, came over, and stole the dog that rightfully belongs to Portia and Ellen.
I hope the state goes after them for an audit. Im sure they dont have enough bills to show that they are breaking even or losing money rescuing these dogs especially since she can cut costs owning her dog store.

74. By adopting out Iggy twice, the owner denied one of her own dogs a chance to get out of the cage into a good home. Iggy already had a good home with the people she took the dog from in such a mean and sneaky way. Those girls are old enough to take care and love that dog, and they already considered Iggy to be a part of their family.

They seem to be arbitrary on what rules they keep. A smart adoption agency should know when to make exceptions when it means one of their animals will have a home by bending the rules a little. Every situation should be judged on its own merits. It makes one wonder if the agency wanted to make an additional fee since it does not seem to have enough income to run the agency efficiently.
