David Copperfield Issues a Statement

A lawyer for David Copperfield tells TMZ : "It is important these allegations be put into perspective. An unidentified woman has made serious allegations against David Copperfield. Although authorities have not revealed her identity to us, we know these allegations are false because David Copperfield has never forced himself on anyone."

31. It sounds like somebody wants the rights to whatever he found there and they're using this bogus trumped up charge as a lame ass "probable cause" aka COVER to get to him in a way that noone will suspect their true motivation. They could've planted the cash and "evidence". Wink wink. Nahhh...this administration would never do anything so crooked...

33. He should already be in jail for the statatory rape he committed in his dressing room after 2 performances. I witnessed the very young girl barely dressed, running out of Davids dressing room, after her mother forced her way though to my boss the promoter. David wouldn't show his face until a deal was made with the young girls mother. He looked like a smug pig.
I was also used as a plant in both of his shows that night , and had to converse with him. He is a pig

34. I still do not understand why the FBI would seize 2 million dollars for rape allegations from the Bahama's. Did we adopt the Bahama's or did someone forget to tell the FBI that they are not part of the USA? Still what does rape has to do with 2 million in cash?

37. It’s sickening. It pays for a woman to claim she is "abused". She gets the attention and the attorneys get Dave's money. The woman will get away unpunished at the end. We should start holding women to the same standards we hold for men.

38. The whole situation is very suspect. Why would the woman not report it when it happened? Because maybe there was no evidence? Don't forget that he's innocent until proven guilty.

41. I guess we'll have to see how this plays out in the courts. Seems all the people that you would not think have to resort to acts as this (alledgedly) are becoming more common every day. You would think they would go to a high class madam, they can afford whatever it is they desire. Maybe they cannot except the word NO, or do not know what it means when it comes to them personally.

43. No matter the outcome of this thing, this guy's name will now be tarnished. Sure he'll still make millions, but will walk with a Scarlet Letter hovering in his aura. Whether rightfully deserved or not, it just goes that way. There seems to be quite a few personal encounters sighted just here of creepieness with this guy.

something is fishy...the Feds/FBI dont normally go after someone unless they believe they can make a case and win in court. Its early yet, but something is very wrong. Busting into his Museum to get specific items indicates they are looking for something quite specific to the case. The money? Well, that amount of cash in anyones personal possesion is always suspect----tax evasion considerations for starters.

I wish him well, but am getting too many bad vibes about him from reading others encounters with this man. Maybe the magic and stardom has gone to his head and he has forgotten everything his departed father Hy instilled in him back in New Jersey.

Good luck, but if you did anything here, good riddance
