47. Copperfields Greatest Illusion is making a percentage of people beilve he is straight.. Not only is he gay, he is CREEPY. As far as the $2Mil cash, thats not all that uncommon. Supposedly his net worth is around $140M. I doubt there is anything to the cash. The FBI probably figured it as flight to aviod, and took it into evidence.

48. The only people commenting here who actually KNOW him, including me, all say that he's a really nice guy and perfect gentleman, definitely NOT GAY and NOT A RAPIST.

All of you haters who say he's gay or creepy don't know what you're talking about.

He's not creepy, he's just shy in person. It's true that he tries to pick up on girls from the audience, but most of them, like me, are completely excited about spending some quality time with him, alone, and loving every second of it.

Show me a celebrity who doesn't try to use their celebrity to pick up chicks... especially one who's touring with a room full of adoring females in the audience.

He makes 57 million a year, so if you multiply that by 15+ years you come out with an enormous wealth, without counting the money he made before that. 2 million in cash in a safe is pocket change for him and could have been there for emergency purposes. I have some cash around in case of an emergency, and if I was him, I would have 10 million in cash around.

49. Seen Copperfield perform live several times in a small theater setting. His close up magic is the strongest part of his repertoire. He is smooth, relaxed, easy going and charismatic. Women swoon in his presence. Copperfield is the last guy on earth who would rape a woman.

50. Even if he is an 'officer & a gentleman', I never bought his relationship with Claudia Shiffer AT ALL!! It was so phony, bought & paid for and couldn't believe he was out with her & had a straight face. He created a facade and the real person behind it is what this woman & her allegations want us to believe. Money can't hide the truth . . .

A lot of that shyness can be difficult for him to break through. So he hides behind all his talent and tricks from his show. You know even the Beast in Beauty & the Beast had to eat some times and I'm just wondering if this isn 't one of those times.

No one is perfect and we all get hungry . . . physically . . . and sexually . . .

A lot of women find David to be extremely handsome and attractive, and so did Claudia Schiffer. David likes to date models not as a 'beard', but because every guy loves beautiful women. He can get them, so why wouldn't he go for the best?

It is so utterly ridiculous to believe that she was a facade to hide his 'gayness'. Besides the fact that I actually know this to be a fact, think about it... why would one of the top models (at the time) spent six of her best years with someone she wasn't in love with? She was making several million dollars a year herself, she certainly didn't need his money!!

54. The computer and pictures could place him in the Bahamas at the time of the reported rape. That is why they are important.
The 2 million now that is a bit suspicious. No matter how wealthy you may be, You don't get that way by stashing large sums of money earning no interest.
Why did she wait to get back to the State's? There may be a very good reason, we will hear in coming months.
Of course there is always the possibility this is a false accusation.
Greta on Fox must be his friend, she pretty much justified everything for him tonight. Not like her at all, I was surprised, that means the rest of Fox will jump on that twist. I'm 50/50 right now.
My only thought towards his guilt is the FBI rarely jumps in something they cannot win, but it's happened.

56. What I don't understand is why, in the United States of America, it is okay to take $2 million
from his safe when he has not been arrested on any charges, AND is totally unrelated to the charges they were investigating. This country and the way law enforcement can do whatever they want is soon not going to be free because no one is willing to stand up and say anything, after all they may be tasored or WORSE. 58. Copperfield is a narcissist who runs a pathetic pick-up routine after his shows at the MGM Grand. He invites women he's chosen out of the audience backstage and wangles their email, phone #, etc., on the premise that if he visits their city he'd like to contact them again to assist as "plants" in the audience.

Instead, they get emails inviting them to visit him at his hideaway in the Bahamas,followed by phone calls. He doesn't care if they're married or not. I know because he pulled this (lamely) with my wife.

The FBI will find thousands of contact sheets, all women, in the computers they confiscated, If they contact them, they'll find plenty of information about what a jerk he is.

He may be rich and surrounded by beautiful hired assistants, but they already know what a pathetic loser he is.

Maybe the Seattle woman's telling the truth.
