62. Hello,

I heard from multiple sources today that David Copperfield is under investigation for sexual misconduct but that the David Copperfield team is standing by Mr. Copperfield saying that he is a "gentleman" and has a "great reputation".

I saw one of Mr. Copperfield's shows last year and can tell you first hand that he seemed like a sexual predator. His entire show revolved around recruiting participants from the audience, mostly women, and getting them to help with his tricks.

During those tricks, I remember seeing him make a number of, what I thought were, inappropriate comments that made me feel uncomfortable, even as a man. One of his comments was something like, (as he escorted one woman to the stage and lowered her hand to his backside) hey this is the Copperfield show not the cop-a-feel show. [the audience laughed]

Two other tricks that I can remember were one were he was getting a woman pregnant and the result was that she produced certain items (magically) as if to give birth. The second trick was where he tried to guess what color underwear certain people were wearing in the audience.

Most of the humor of the show was based on sexual uncomfortable situations. So, for instance, when you see someone get embarrassed or you feel embarrassed for witnessing something that has a taboo kind of sexual connotation.

I was a little surprised at his show but as we say in the corporate world, he is an HR issue just waiting to happen.

63. People, how many times does it have to be said? Men don't rape women because they are horny and can't get laid. It's about domination and power. I have no opinion about Copperfield on this, but plenty of famous and good looking and rich guys commit rape. Men with healthy sexualities, and who actually like women, do not get off on using force to have "sex".

64. Could you all find your ass with both hands? Copperfield is anything but stupid. It may or may not be the "Fountain of Youth" but there IS something extraordinary there. Naive to think he would be able to hold onto it...? Yes. Certain factions want the control, $$$, etc. that it will bring. He wouldn't give in to their threats and pressure so they used this trumped bogus rape charge by a gold-digger from July in the Bahamas as a pretext (probable cause) to go after him.

67. If it's supposed to be "innocent until proven guilty", why is he not protected the same as the witness. His life and career is now forever changed based on at this point, simply allegations. If he did it, it will be proven in time. However, based on his rights as a citizen, he should be extended the same graces as the unknown woman until he's proven guilty.

72. #54 Not making a claim to know everything related to the case, it simply hasn't been made public yet. Nevertheless, if they are going to "freeze" his money, which will undoubtedly cost him a fortune in atty.'s fees to get back, maybe, just maybe they need to explain that. And another thing A$$HOLE, that must have been some fantastic piece of ass to make someone
who pulls in what he does anually "risk it all" for a night with her. Smacks of extortion. Wake the hell up, it's people like you that just want to live in their little dream world that law enforcement is actually here to serve and protect, and the government isn't stepping all over our constitutional rights, and the IRS is a great idea.
