Suri's Dad Can't Spell

Katie Holmes' husband was in NYC yesterday, signing autographs for fans after a Q&A at Pelham Picture House. With cameras flashing and a growing crowd, the guy from that Hitler movie couldn't quite figure out how to spell one fan's name.

He repeatedly asked how to write it, and even when given the spelling, seemed to immediately forget. In all fairness to the couch-jumpin' Scientolodad, at least he wanted to make sure he was right.

Tom Cruise has claimed that Scientology's "Study Technology" has helped him overcome dyslexia.

1. I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan, but isn't he dyslexic? That might explain the trouble with spelling the name.

7. Oh, it's ok if some actor punches out the press or gets drunk and drives or does drugs, but when a person has a real honest to goodness health issue such as DYSLEXIA - you gotta say something bad about the man! Shame on you....at least he stopped to sign the autographs - which by the way many of these so called "STARS" are too stuck up to do.

8. Ya know -- I agree that Cruise is a crazy freak cult member, but c'mon -- There's "Dillon" or "Dylan". He wanted to get it right for the kid's autograph. So what?

13. I agree with the vast majority of responders who said:

#1. Good for Tom for stopping to sign autographs
#2. Good for Tom for wanting to spell a fan's name correclty. Nothing makes you feel quite as unimportant as something important to you with your name spelled wrong on it!
#3. Is someone out there really thinking about critticizing/making fun of the man for a problem that might have been related to a learnig disability? How much of a jerk does that make you?

14. Watch the video, please. There are many was to spell "Dylan" and the kid (Dylan) said it didn't matter. Cruise then said "it does matter" and spent a few extra seconds making sure he spelled "Dylan" correctly in this noisy environment, surrounded by kids and paps (it can also be spelled Dyllan, Dilon, Dillon, and you can imagine many more). TMZ just loves making something good into something negative. It has nothing to do with Cruise's dyslexia, but rather his concern for this child who is a fan. And, no, I'm not a Tom Cruise fan. This is the first time in years watching him has not made me vomit a little in my mouth.

WELL DUMBASS, get it straight. DYSLEXIC'S CAN READ, they just CAN'T SPELL CORRECTLY. They have to think about how to right it the correct way because their brain is telling them to spell it another. It's not their fault. JERK
