Don't Mess with Madea!

A local Sacramento television station is experiencing a major backlash, after an on-air interview with Janet Jackson and co-star/director Tyler Perry -- got seriously uncomfortable.

After discussing their new film "Why Did I Get Married?" on "Good Day Sacramento," anchor (and self-proclaimed jerk) Mark S. Allen asked Janet about her infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction. Tyler Perry continuously tried to turn the conversation back to the movie, but the anchor kept hounding Jackson about the 2004 incident.

Finally, Perry fumes, "What are you talking about? We're here to talk about the movie!" Allen took one last dig, asking, "Were there any wardrobe malfunctions in the movie?" Jackson remained Sphinx-like the entire time.

Fans of Jackson and Perry have flooded the station with letters and e-mail -- so much e-mail that loudmouthed anchor Mark S. Allen says he personally received 19,000 -- causing their system to "lock down."

Yesterday, the station issued a formal on-air apology and released a written one. Bottom line: Madea don't play!

17. I live in Sacramento and I stopped watching this morning show because of the Jerk....mark "no talent" allen. And as far as Ruthie's comment I don't know what tv she's watching but i hear damn all the time

19. I am impressed with the fact this news person had the integrity enough to apologize for his error in judgement. A lot of news persons would not have done a thing about it and let it get swept under the carpet. Kudos to Mark S. Allen!! He may have been a jerk as he said but he is an apologetic jerk!

21. I was one of those Sacramento people that emailed immediately-it was so out of character for Mark to be that thick-headed. He usually makes the celebrities look good (and sometimes he has very little to work with.)

He responded within the hour with a classy apology. I wrote back later expressing appreciation to him and the station, and got a personal reply to that.

I think it's simply a Jackson jinx, making a genial guy go bonkers for a bit.

23. this guy is a douche of the highest caliber. He thinks he is fnny but says really dumb things, kindalike that helicopter girl that was on channel 13 in LAa couple of years ago. he used to try and be hip hop with flat top haircut and slang

24. Oh for cyring out loud. Its a celebrity interview. Its not like he mocked a soldier returning home or spoofed a serious news story about someone's tragedy.

Old news? I think not. Thanks to JJ's famous nipple, the censors went nuts and have in effect changed quite a few things. I dont think I can stand one more "safe" super bowl show. Good grief.

I think Mark S Allen is hilarious.

26. first i dont think the super bowl had anything to do with the movie so mark honey wrong place and time..... that was like four years ago LET IT GO and why is justin still able to sell records and do shows and janet even sit through an interview without being asked about "nipplegate" and justin is not totally biased if you ask me....

30. "he is a jerk" is ABSOLUTELY right. Those of us who live in his community (his kids go to elementary school w/ mine) know what an irritating jerk this guy is! He REALLY thinks he is SO hot, cool, and tha thang! He always has that fake attitude with him. He also makes his wife think she has to be completely anorexic (she seriously is) or it will ruin his career. The kids are just as self-important as well. Let your wife eat, M.S. Allen, and maybe she'll use your name.
