When "One Life to Live" Doctors Allegedly Attack!

"One Life to Live" star Nathaniel Marston only plays a doctor on TV -- but he allegedly bashes up complete strangers on the streets of New York in real life!

TMZ has confirmed reports that early yesterday morning, Marston, who plays Dr. Michael McBain on "OLTL," got out of a cab on Tenth Avenue, arguing with the driver, then charged at a man standing on the street and hit him with a metal crate, as the New York Daily News first reported. "He was crazed -- I don't know the guy from a hole in the wall," said Salvatore Cabibbo, the alleged victim, told the paper. Cops say Nathaniel attacked two other people, breaking one person's leg, before he was subdued and arrested. He was charged with two counts each of felony assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon, as well as a count of resisting arrest. Marston has previously admitted to anger problems.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where his status was described as "disturbed." Marston's mess was first reported by the New York Daily News.

47. All i can say is something happend to this man to make him do this. why say it was drugs people. and to make fun of someone like that isnt right. you have no idea what is wrong with him. We people judge so easlily first before finding out the facts first. i wish him well and the best for him and his family.

50. It appears that Celebretes (sic) feel that laws do not apply to them. A case on point, Brittany Spears and others. The ground should be level in front of a judge. The punishment should be the same for all, King and Pauper alike.

52. Sorry for all involved. Give him a bit if sympathy. He will need it, no matter what the problem. He obviously was flipped out for whatever cause. He will have his day in court and I'm sure it will be awful for him. Jail time is what he needs. He broke someones leg! OW! Been there and it is horrible!

53. ABC will probably replace him with Rosie. All she needs to do is cut her hair and put on a pair of pants.

55. Can't wait until defendent Marston's attorney gives his side of the story.
"Marston is getting out of a cab arguing with the driver," according to this article. Next, he "charged at a man standing on 10th Avenue hitting him with a metal crate, then cops say that Nathaniel assaulted two other people breaking one person's leg, before he was subdued and arrested."
This is serious both criminally and in a civil law suite if he's found guilty.
Questioning the cab driver as to why Marston was arguing with him, then why would he deliberately charge into or assault anyone, unless in the heat of the alleged argument, others tried to intervene and in either fear, rage or self defense, he felt entrapped. We weren't there and truly can only guess the scenario, but I would love to know the outcome.
In any event, Marston was found to be "emotionally disturbed," and it's possible that he was on drugs, possible drug for alcoholism, a patch to stop smoking, etc, and mixed this with alcohol causing this behavior.
Obviously, he does need help and to be sent to alternative anger management programs by the court.

57. Re: Mr. Marston, he is a wonderful actor and I hope "OLTL" sticks with him, and makes sure he gets the help he needs. Maybe because I am the mother of three young men, and as a mother I would want my talented son to get help, and get a chance. I will pray for him. I don't want to see anyone else in his role as Dr. McBain.

59. Wow ..... but I will reserve judgement until I hear his side since there are always two sides to every story.

60. Just another actor who thinks he's above the law. He should serve several years for his foolishness. But the network will welcome him bck with open arms. Cancel his part in the soaps, send him to prison or let him enter the unemployment line.
