The Hottest Reservations in Town!

Celeb enclave Nobu is serving up what any weary firefighter wants while fighting a massive wildfire -- a boatload of sushi!
Firefighters Nobu
Reps for Nobu tell TMZ that starting this afternoon, they will start serving their tasty fare to firefighters serving on the Malibu fire line. For those hotshots who've been too busy saving homes to sample Nobu's delectable delights, TMZ recommends the Kobe Beef, the Toro Roso, Rock Shrimp Tempura and the Yellowtail Tartar with caviar. Nobu, doing their part.

And in case you're wondering, Nobu has been closed since Sunday, but they have had power. And yes, the refrigerator works.

In another generous Malibu move -- billionaire showbiz mogul and Malibu resident David Geffen has opened up his recently renovated Malibu Beach Inn to both evacuees and firefighters -- free of charge.

In case you'd like to help those affected by the fire -- and don't have a sushi restaurant -- please donate to the Red Cross.

46. Mr. Black & Keeta You 2 have got to the biggest A-holes that commented on any story
on TMZ for quite some time

Posted at 3:28PM on Oct 24th 2007 by Mr. Black & Keeta are total A-holes

47. Firstly, the sushi that they are eating is not old. The fish and the beef come in from a local distributor that is not within any of the fire areas. When they decided to do something nice for the firefighting teams of the Malibu fires, they had their shipments brought in. The roads did have a limited opening available, and the orders for food were delivered. The roads are open to those that are working with the firefighting efforts. It is just closed to all others.

Secondly, does anyone read any of the other news? The fire in Malibu is contained! That is where they know the fire will not spread and they let it burn out. The firefighters do have a need to eat and if they desire sushi, then they've got it! They work in 6 hour shifts in which they then get 6 hours of rest. They rotate in and out of the fire zone.

Thirdly, Geffen opened his doors of the Malibu Inn to the firefighters in which, again, they sleep in six hour shifts. Rotating in for rest then rotating back into managing the fires.

Lastly, where in Malibu are they supposed to get food? It's not like they have a ton of fast food joints up and down PCH! And hell, who the hell would want fast food when they can have the best Sushi available!?!?

49. Apparently the fires' ferociousity can be blamed on the high pollution in California. All those high flying stars and all entourage of cars and constant flying around to promote "themselves" has finally come back to bite hollywood in the butt .. how sad, NOT
