A federal judge released rapper T.I. on $3 million bail Friday -- $2 million in cash bond and $1 million in property. T.I. must remain under house arrest until his trial on weapons charges.
U.S. Attorney's Office spokesman Patrick Crosby has informed TMZ that a private monitoring company will reside at T.I.'s home, and he will be subject to drug, alcohol and weapons searches at their discretion. The ATF will also be allowed to search the residence. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman ordered the rapper be monitored 24 hours a day by a private monitoring service that T.I. must pay for.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, must stay in his home except for medical appointments and court appearances. He also may not own any guns and cannot have contact with any witnesses or informants in the case.
T.I. was arrested on October 13 on federal gun charges. No new court date has been set.

Clifford is a felon and felons aren't suppose to have any kind of weapon or weapons. In black America, you've got to understand one thing just because someone throws crumbs to the community, but is doing bad things he still a bad person. Wakeup and look at your community, you may think the world doesn't see it, but they do and it's not pretty and the leadership like Mayor Ray Nagen of New Orleans who screwed you over sooo bad, but you just re-elected him again for a second kick in the ass!!! Blame Bush all you want, but at the end of the day it's the black leaders who lead you over the cliff!!!

What is USA becoming? Why is T.I. being treated so harshly for weapon's possession? Did he murder somebody? Did he kill a cop? I think it is unfair the way he is being treated. It is tantamount to cruel and unusual punishment and should be condemned totally by all fair-minded Americans because it is unconstitutional.
To: For Real: there is a difference between a typo and the deliberate mangling of the English language. You are so keen on keeping it real so here is the reality; felons purchasing machine guns off of the streets are criminals. Criminals belong in prison. Clifford and others like him are the ones destroying the black community, not whites or anyone else. Black on black crime is epidemic. Focus on that, loser.
Hey idoits! It has nothing to do with being black. If you think having a machinegun is no big deal then you live next door to him with your kids.Enough wit down playing what he did and grow up.Is there such a thing as accoutability any more? machinegun and silencer are two types of dark and evil things for some one like this thug to have.Stop with the its a set up and grow up!
Whatâs appalling is how the laws of our great country are constantly being dissected, challenged and discriminated against in an attempt to meet the needs of fools and criminals. Anyone having illegal guns in their homes gets to meet our countries federal govât. âWhere is the gladness for our own protection?
Maybe we should be teaching right from wrong in our schools in 1st grade since what should be a âno brainierâ is better understood. This way the most popular phrase of âitâs a set-upâ is no longer viewed as an alterative in lacking common sense. Unless they are learning to say that at home or within their gangs, then the courts will have to decide, which is exactly where they are within our country today.
I am so sick of hearing âitâs a set-upâ as a lying excuse over living an honorable, truthful life. Better yet, take one of our 50 and let them fight it out themselves. Can't come back until you're ready to be civil and follow the RULES, like the rest (period)
all of u ignorant people suck:
I bet you if this was the paris hilton case you haters and ignorant folk wouldnt be saying all that negativity. if it was justin timberlake you'll would have paid his bail. when will people see past the racial and financial boundaries and look at only whats in front of you forget the past the future is among us. T.I. I'M GLAD YOU HOME BABY!!! AND DONT WORRY ABOUT A THING CAUSE AS YOU SAID ON YOUR LAST CD "HELP ON THE WAY!"
What I would like to know is, yes, the constitution gives you the right to bear arms, but, why would anyone need machine guns with silencers. The only purpose that those weapons were invented for is to kill humans and nothing else, so therefore, anyone who buys these weapons are buying them for the purpose of killing another human. Therefore, TI aint such a great looking guy now, is he. Which poses the question, who was he planning to kill, and don't anyone dare tell me he needed them for protection, cause that is a load of crap. Way back when that constitution was written, most people had guns for hunting animals because that is how they fed their families. Unfortunately, the writing is too generic and thugs like TI seems to think that it gives him the right to have guns that are intended for one purpose only. TO KILL HUMANS. Maybe it's just me, but that part of the constitution needs to be re-defined.

Just because you don't like what people say, does not mean that they do not have the right to say it. It is a public forum. Deal.
Very simple why he needed silencers and handguns ...
He is a SCOFFLAW! Look that up. It's old school for THUG ...
which is exactly what this piece of human garbage is. You
don't think that he intended to take the machine guns with him
to an elementary school fund raiser do you?
Many insist that they be GIVEN a free ride. There is now way in hell they are going to earn it. They have an overabundance of excuses when what they need to do is take a look in the mirror. I'm sure there is some snappy comeback for this statement as well.
LAZINESS ... EXCUSES ... CRIME.
Authorities say that on Oct. 13, about an hour before a scheduled performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, Harris showed up to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers. He already had three guns in his car â one of them loaded â when he was arrested, authorities say.
Harris, 27, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.
Another one bite the dust. There is one thing I know and that God. We can point finger and look one in the eye, but if we don't stop hating, killing and breaking the other rules we will never get to Heaven. This goes out to everydody earth is a blueprint and one thing about earth whatever you steal or take it can't leave the ground. So do God a favor start making reservation for Heaven. Hating want get you there and yes, there is a hell. So to anyone that find themselves to bite the dust remember God caught it in time and your're just one soul he save.
Have a good day
Told you so--- no need here
I too am sick of the negativity that rap is representing to our young. Not feeling the love with the---ho-killing-n-words--f-words-b-words in lyrics to what is supposed to be classified as songs???
Now guns w/silencers about an hour before an awards program that is meant to be fun and entertaining???
