Celebrity Justice
Orlando Veers Away from Crash Questions

Orlando Bloom was blindsided -- by TMZ photogs -- who couldn't pass up a chance to press the actor on his mysterious accident.

TMZ caught Orly coming out of Samy's Camera yesterday afternoon with a new friend who wanted to sell Bloom a BMW -- perhaps something to replace that Toyota Matrix?

Our photog started asking about the recent crash, saying, "How's your friend doing? Are you afraid of going to jail, think you're facing jail, man?" Orlando didn't even acknowledge the camera, hopped into his Audi and took off.

16. TMZ, no celebrity owes you anything. It's not a crime to not answer your questions.

Celebrities existed before TMZ and will continue to do so after TMZ is shutdown. TMZ however could not exist without celebrities. Yet you act like they owe you something and get so self righteous when they don't want to play nice.

17. I don't know what I was thinking. I was one of the people who voted that Olri wasn't getting celebrity treatment, but this is ridiculous! The man was acting irrationally at a club by jumping in someone else's car and refusing to leave, crashes into a parked car supposedly because he was cut off by a car which no one really saw (I'm mean really! Who was that voice blaming the whole incident on the paps? Why hasn't that guy come foreward?), and then he walks away from the scene, leaving his bloodied friend on the ground, only coming back after being begged by the very paps that were blamed for the incident. Orli needs pay for what he's done.

If I were the woman he left on the ground with my head cracked open, I think I'd be a litlte miffed.

18. It's so weird that paps are being this persisent about making him out to be skirting the law when all evidence points to their own as having caused this accident.

I have to conclude they don't know about the recent laws In Calif. that requires them to pay three times the amount of an accident if they cause one. At least that's what I read.

Regardless-causing accidents doesn't seem to be a deterrent to potentially causing more.

Hell-they can't even keep their feet out from under moving tires.

22. Why the hell should he answer your questions?
The pap was just trying to rile him up, hoping that Orlando would punch him. TMZ would give him a bonus if he was able to accomplish that.

Paps caused the accident, and are still trying to pin the blame on Orlando, even after he was completely cleared by the DA. The paps, however, have NOT been cleared. Where is the story about them evading justice, hmmm TMZ?

I hope that he was buying a video camera that he could put on his dashboard. That way he would have video proof the next time that a pap cuts him off. A video that won't mysteriously disappear like the last one did.

23. Okay, he's been legally cleared - whatever. Can TMZ move on from this boring story. Minor crash, no DUI, no drugs, not even a dramatic attempt to run (yeah, that stumbling walk away in front of a zillion cameras - gripping) - can TMZ stop beating up on this now. Go find someone more exciting to harass & let Bloom go back to being boring. If he ever crashes a sports car loaded with half-naked chicks whilst loaded on illegal substances or flashes his privates at unsuspecting paps, then maybe, maybe you could justify the continued coverage. But meantime, just move on, TMZ. If this is scandal & insider celeb gossip then Hollywood is waaaay more boring than I ever though. Give it a rest. Go follow someone interesting.

24. HE HAS BEEN CLEARED OF ALL CHARGES. That was just horrible of your bloody camera man. Orlando is a good person, and the accident was not his fault in the first place. Leave him the hell alone.

25. Scarlet FBL: she wasn't sitting on the ground with her head cracked open, she was sitting in the car when he walked approx. 60 feet and didn't even realize she was bleeding at first. Please get your facts straight.

Heehawg, um, in case you hadn't noticed, convicts are wearing orange now.

26. They won't leave him alone you idiots, what do you think he and the woman with the neckbrace were doing at the police station anyway? Stopping for a spot of tea? Hey TMZ, is this your big defensive plan ? Get in his face until he snaps? Keep digging that hole deeper you parasites!

Please state why you think so. Try not to include calling me names and what you THINK I meant, but use what I actually said.

1) You are repetitive because you have already made this comment several times on several different comment threads.
2) Very little has actually been said about the incident outside the club and none of it be people who were actually there.
3) There is evidence on the tape, from eyewitnesses and from the LAPD, that an SUV did cut Orlando off which made him swerve into a parked car rather than risk a head-on collision.
4) The witness was on the tape and did speak to the police.
5) Orlando walked a whole 60 feet away at most (that is the longest distance stated. The distance varies from witness to witness) and we have only that papparazzi's word for it that he had no intention of returning before they yelled at him.
6) Witnesses at the scene said the girl in question was still sitting in the back seat of the car, not on the ground, when he walked away.
7) Her head was not "cracked open". That is inflammatory wording which implies much greater injury than a minor scalp wound.
8) She is described as having a fractured neck, which sounds serious to those who do not know medical terminology, but anyone who does recognizes that as doctor speak for "she has an injury involving the cervical vertebrae of undisclosed severity."
9) As far as celebrity justice is concerned, the police arrived at the scene after Orlando called 911 (why didn't one of the paps call if they were so worried about the girl. That is a question that has never been answered and never will by the paps.) They determined that he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the scene based on their observance of his behaviour and he was released. The case was submitted to the DA along with all supporting evidence and the DA decided not to prosecute based on the evidence that Orlando had committed no crime, that his walking a short distance from the accident did not constitute "hit and run".
10) While there is no external evidence that the witness at the scene who is heard speaking to the police on the tape spoke to them later; do you have access to all of the evidence submitted by the police to the DA? I don't, TMZ doesn't and I don't believe you do either.
Ergo, you are repetitive and you are wrong.

30. There's something about Orlando that is "MEAN"....I don't have a problem with him ducking
these agitators, but there is just something about his personality...

I know...very controlling...I'm telling you...he's not this free spirit that he tries to front...

There will be more slips that will prove me right...
