Another Woman Creeped Out by Copperfield

TMZ TV found yet another woman claiming David Copperfield made a move on her during his Vegas show -- using his previously identified M.O. to try and seal the deal.

Calling him both "creepy" and "weird," the woman gave a phone interview, describing how the magician hit on her as she watched the show with her husband. The story is almost identical to that of Amanda from Atlanta, who also met Copperfield after he eyed her at one of his shows.

Catch TMZ TV tonight for more on this developing story. Check your local listings.

31. I think when he was youngre he could get away with it more, its so sad many young women see older men as perverted maniacs, we are still the same as we were when we were 18, in the mind

32. If Copperfield is still performing tonight at the MGM Grand, I would guess he isnt still doing this part of the act.

Sure he still may select audience members to be part of the magical act, but not the backstage "interview" and photo session and email exchange.

This guy will be labeled shmuck no matter how this ends up.

Any future woman who goes backstage will already know what its all about---prior to this, one cant say they all did. With the publicity out now about him and his "tricks" they know its to get laid.

33. Seems he may have been attempting to use his shows as a personal boff buffet for years, if what many women have been posting represents the truth. Good women don't care for players. They like real dates, flowers, conversation, manners and sincerity.

34. Mark my words, when Copperfield goes back to doing his show at the MGM, there WILL be girls willing to go up on stage and backstage afterwards! And maybe even fly down to the Bahamas!! There are too many skanky chicks visiting Vegas all the time who are looking for a star to f*$*, so he'll have another boat load to chose from.

35. Hey REAL MEN DON"T MARRY HOOKERS...nice classy user name too. You are just so clever...I am not slamming anyone a-hole, I am simply telling the story I went through. Give me a break...after the creepy staring we didn't want to get picked..so learn to read without preconcieved notions of defending your gay love interest/obsession. Maybe you should obsess over someone more up to date like Chris Angel. You been to the Bahama's lately and play disappearing sausage with david you f_gg_t! Its pretty obvious you have something against woman...or should I say "hot ladies".... if David was only gay it would be your dream come true! Make a magician and dissappear.

36. Now that Brit is becoming boring; just so TMZ doesn't lose traction, they have to find shills to feed the fire of a made-up controversy. The next headline will read: "Authorities believe more women will 'go public' about Mr. Copperfield's unprofessional behaior."

37. I can't comment on what happens back stage or after the shows but I went to one the shows he did in Branson, Missouri when he was touring in the summer of 2005. He pulled someone from the audience onto stage for almost every trick he did during the show. He had maybe five or six people assist him and all but one of them were younger good-looking women. He was very flirtatious and at one point during the show he had a girl standing next to him with her arm around his waist and he (playfully) moved her hand to his butt.

As creepy as he acted, that doesn't make him a rapist. It's not out of place for a rock star to send roadies into the crowd at a concert with back stage passes to pick up girls for after the show. The only difference here is that David Copperfield was very organized with the information he gathered and system he used to meet the women.

It sounds like this girl went with him as his date on a vacation to the Bahamas. While that doesn't automatically give him the green light for sex, that's a much different scenario than him drugging a girl at a bar to get her alone, and the violently raping her.

Ummm, I'm a woman, so whether a man is gay or not is completely inconsequential to me.

I stand by my previous words. The reason you are so upset is because you know I am right. Any male who pimps his wife, albeit in a limited, half-witted way, has obviously married a hooker.

Maybe in your next life you'll have more sense but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

39. I thought he was gay, like Dumbledore.

40. #11/21: "Finally, Copperfield works in Vegas and is rich, powerful and famous...why would he need to rape a woman when he can get woman without force...and he can certainly buy as many prostitutes and porn stars in Vegas that he wants???"
***********************************************************************************************
For someone that appears to be somewhat intelligent, this comment was really dumb. You should know that rape has nothing whatsoever to do with sex.

41. david the raper! sure. this is yet another bimbo trying to get famous. if she went to his house, 50 million $ estate, she did everything he wanted to do and enjoyed it. what better way to be a model then to get known. look what it did for tyson's x. let's get real!

42. Please TMZ, you're really stretching it. It almost seems like you are trying to set this guy up. "He's creepy and wouldn't stop staring at me..." come on guys, haven't you seen any of his 20-30 TV specials. He's a magician. it's his job to be a little creepy, dark, stare at you with his eyes... (what other body part would he be staring at you with?)

TMZ tried to push the Orlando Bloom issue with the LAPD and now they are pushing Copperfield. is there a lack of hollywood stories, that you gotta instigate them?

granted, i'm bored with britney, but let's relax with all this jail fodder. Jail is tough and i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy let alone instigate The Man to investigate, push charges, or go after someone because they are a celebrity and i wanted to print it online or show it on TV.

43. The thing is, the feds just had toget in that warehouse.

THat warehouse - if you research it -has a very interesting history.
The former owner advised the CIA on methods of deception, and was heavily involved in MK-Ultra. He wrote CIA manuals. That warehouse is full of his writings.

Women throw themselves at rich, powerful and famous mean all of the time, constantly...a man in Copperfield's position need not ask!!!"
************************************************************************************************
Hi Zip, your comments are very articulate; however, your point that just because women "throw themselves" at the rich, powerful and famous, certainly does not, and never will, exclude, or excuse, a person from committing rape.
In fact, I should think, based on your argument, that a person with so much, even "a lot to lose", would be even more selective and careful when choosing a mate. No means no. Period.

45. Looking for love in the all the wrong places. Famous or not its kind of sad that he's done this over the years with who knows how many women. My daughter is 27, famous or not, she'd gag at the thought of a 50 year old man coming on to her. Its all $$$$. Sooner or later he's going to have to defend himself whether charges are filed or not. I would think he's got a PI on this girl investigating her past. I wonder, though, will he continue to pick up women this way? If he's been with that many partners, I hope he's wearing a condom!
