Copperfield Lures Woman Via Voicemail

David Copperfield's been using his Vegas show not just to amaze and mystify, but to pick up chicks! And now TMZ has a voicemail from David himself, inviting one of the women attendees to his island in the Bahamas.

A female audience member at one of the magician's Las Vegas shows supplied TMZ with one of her answering machine messages, where Copperfield says he's "got a very interesting opportunity for you ... if you're available to come to the island ... we'll just have some fun."

TMZ also interviewed another woman at the same show, who said Copperfield invited her and a friend to the Bahamas as well -- but she decided it would be too "creepy" to go.

16. While I believe that these woman (?) should have known the score, he is still a REAL creep. I believe that he is capable of rape and this matter should be take seriously.

17. ..Opi...it doesn't matter wether u r rich or poor, educated or not, married or single, CREEPS r out there...and the same goes for the gals...in this case he clearly is a PREDATOR!!!!!...just my feelin!...hope he enjoys the winter weather a little longer...going to be cold in prison IF that is where he belongs...

21. David Copperfield can get women... I think this one woman got pissed off at him over something so she decided to get even with him... If I was in the Bahamas and someone tried to rape me I would have called the police there first and went to the hospital ASAP.. she waited til she got back to the US before she even called the police.. now these other women have decided to jump on the wagon and see what they can get out of it.. FYI I have been to David's shows before and not to give anything away but he has a "so called" twin. While he would be on stage performing the look alike would come in the back of the room and get in position for the certain trick... so if something did happen how does she know if it was David or not? I will be in complete shock if any of these alligations turn out to be true, but honestly I think it will all be dropped and then the woman will give some lame excuse to why she did it...

22. And as someone earlier said.. these women didnt think he was too creepy when they were asked to come back stage and get autographs and to give out their information. If he was so creepy why didnt they just say no? or refuse to give out their information? I guess he is using those magical powers to make them do things...LOL These girls need to get a life and quit trying to sponge off of David.

23. Is that all they have on him? If that is it, then I would rather not be bothered by having it on the news! My mother told me early on that you have the right to say NO! If he ever forced himself on anyone, that would make all the difference, but until they have proof of that, please give us all a break and keep it to yourselfs.. ugh, otherwise there would be even more crowding in today's prisons with all the "creeps" trying to pick up women! ! !

On a serious note:
1. The women did not have to fill out the survey if it made them feel uncomfortable
2. Just because you are asked, does not mean you have to go to the Bahamas with him.
3. Just because you do go to the Bahamas with him, does not give anyone the right or permission to "allegedly" violate you.

26. Daum! I can't believe how many of you are judging Copperfield over ONE ALLEGATION made by a woman who could not provide any proof, DNA or otherwise.

How do I know this? Unless someone made a video tape of him raping her, and she left the island with it, then there is NO PROOF OF RAPE.

It's she said-he said. I suspect she is a tramp.

27. If you are nieve enough to not know the guy is looking for some provacative "fun". U need to get in-touch with yourself. He plays sex games so what? The hitting part is uncool, at least to me, maybe the problem is he doesn't lay down the expextations first. Maybe someone was raped and that is disgusting and tragic, but with all the people who want their 15 min. it certainly makes you really wonder what is going on here: and that in itself is a tragic state of the public mentality

28. Predator? These women aren't saying he dragged them off into bushes. He invited them to the bahamas to "have some fun." The woman can always refuse to go, no? And apparently some did refuse to go.
