Malnutrition to Blame for Marie Osmond's Collapse?

Marie Osmond blamed the California wildfires for her collapse on "Dancing with the Stars" last week -- but Maksim Chmerkovskiy has another theory.


Cameras caught the "Dancing" stud shopping on Robertson Blvd. on Saturday, where he told photogs that Osmond likely fainted due to malnutrition -- "They gotta eat, they gotta stop losing weight. All the celebrities are taking it too seriously!"

Being the next Kelly Monaco is serious business.

3. She's on NutriSystem. She's no doubt not eating enough calories. They prob. have her on a measely 1200 calorie diet. Not enought calories for someone dancing for HOURS a day. The dancing alone should help her lose weight. I agree, she needs to eat!

6. No doubt Marie Osmond is starving herself to get in to the dance outfits. Everyone's body is different and I'm sure she's wishing she could have the body of Jane Seymour.

Middle-aged women, similar to Ms. Osmond's mindset, should finally get real with themselves. Eating a healthy diet and daily exercise is the key. Once they come to grips with "age" - happiness follows. Life's too darn short for this nonsense.

8. i have met marie osmond before & i dont think she was big to begin w!! she isnt jane seymour skinny but she was by no mean big. she has huge boobs so it makes her middle look bigger but the tv really seems to add weight to her. i saw her 3 weeks ago & she was maybe a size 4 or 6 honestly! but i do think she has lost a lot of weight fast & needs to keep eating w/ all that she is doing physically now!!!

9. I actually feel really bad for her. EVERYTIME they show ANYTIME about the show now, they show the scene of her fainting. I feel embarrassed for her. It's bad enough she did that on live television, but to have it aired over and over and over AND over again. Total overkill. They the poor woman have some diginity!

10. Malnutrition is an extreme term and probably not applicable to Marie - even if she has lost weight during her very challenging dance schedule. She went from dancing to standing still while the judges talked - without a cool down. She might be peri-menopausal.
I pass out sometimes, when standing, especially if I've been working out alot. It happens. but not because of malnutrition.

11. Max has complained in the past that the celebrities didn't take it seriously. He got mad several times during training. Now he is complaining that they are taking it seriously. Make your mind up Max! Society has put too much pressure on women, and now men, to be ultra skinny. Marie Osmond seems like a nice person. But this is old news. I feel bad that they keep playing the fainting scene over and over and over again. I'm sure her family doesn't need to keep seeing it. And neither do we. Move on.

12. Give the poor girl a break, she fainted, that's it. Max is right, if you work out the way they do, you have to keep the calories up for energy. Of course, I'd believe pretty much anything Max says, he is the hottest guy on tv right now!!!!!!!!!!!!

13. I THINK MARIE'S FAINTING SPELL WAS STAGED FOR PUBLICITY. THOSE OSMOND'S ARE PURE SHOW BUSINESS WITH EMPHASIS ON "SHOW". I'M SO TIRED OF THEM BOTH PARADING THEIR PRIVATE LIVES IN PUBLIC, AND TIRED OF THEIR TEARY EYED LITTLE TIRADES ABOUT THE THINGS IN THEIR LIVES THAT MOST PEOPLE WOULD NEVER WANT AIRED PUBLICLY. AND IF IT WAS A PUBLICITY STUNT IT CERTAINLY WAS GOOD FOR HER AND GOOD FOR THE SHOW AND I THINK THAT IS EXACTLY WHT THEY HAD PLANNED.I
