O.J. Co-Defendant Takes Plea; That Makes Three

Another O.J. co-defendant has agreed to plea to lesser charges -- in exchange for his testimony against the Juice.

Michael McClinton has become the third person involved in the alleged Vegas hotel room holdup. He told a judge in a Clark County courtroom this morning that he'll accept a deal to plead guilty to robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, and testify against Simpson and two other men.

McClinton's lawyer William Terry confirmed that his client can testify that O.J. asked him to bring two guns with him when they went to the hotel room at the Palace Station casino.

Simpson's attorney Yale Galanter said this was not a surprise, adding "What this comes down to is the real bad guys are pointing a finger at O.J., and the prosecution is giving away the courthouse to try to shore up their case."

McClinton could receive up to 11 years in prison.

17. I am not an OJ fan. However, he was acquitted of murder. Did he do it? Was anyone an eyewitness to the murders? He can never be tried for that crime again. It's called double jeopardy. Stick a fork in this one, it's done. Now, Las Vegas, is he guilty? Maybe, maybe not. Are his so called friends rolling over to save their own necks? And still do time in jail? Doesn't sound like a good plea deal to me. Personally, I really don't care. I do wish a lid would be put on all this OJ drama. Because if this was anyone else, the country would never have heard about it.

19. Of course they are pleaing out......they are setting OJ up and that isn't fair......if they are all guilty they are all guilty....not just one...............be fair and don't treat some different than the others......

20. It's so peculiar how everyone knows he did it. It makes people sound so foolish and shallow and full of hatred. You were not there, you only know what the hate mongers tell you. What will you folks do if OJ's acquitted this time? Will you riot in the streets? Will you boycott the Las Vegas strip? Get a life and stop wallowing in hate. Where were all you truth and justice folks when the Supreme court named your president, who's presided over the death of thousands of people?

21. and here come the inevitable comments of "he was set-up". You can't be "set-up" if you aren't willing to commit the crime in the first place. OJ did something but since I don't have access to the records I'll wait for the trial to pass my own judgment. I do think this justice is a long time coming. He can't use Cochran to get off or use the "I'm a poor black man being persecuted by the white man" defense.

24. OJ should not be punished now for what he was found "Not Guilty" of back in 1995.

I would love to be OJ's attorney in this case, unless the Jury comes in looking to make OJ pay for his earlier crimes.

Look it up: in America we have a rule against Double Jeopardy. The Prosecutor going after OJ alone among all these people is a bad joke.

You cannot, and should not dare to, call it Justice.

Anybody who is celebrating this as "Finally justice for Nicole and Ron" is doing damage to the CONCEPT of Justice. Justice does not mean finding a way "to get" OJ or any one. Justice means proportionality and fairness even to someone you think committed and got away with an earlier crime.

25. The Las Vegas police department and the district attorneys have more talent in their pinky finger than the entire police force in Los Angeles. I love the fact that they don't go to the press every five minutes. Are you paying attention L.A?

26. # 13 who is everyone?? Don't try to generalize just for wishfull thinking. The prosecutor is screwing up by targeting just OJ. When cross-examination comes, this case will fall apart, because just think of one thing...why OJ is not even approached for a plea? That tells u something right? And i agree with #9, if you have a case, just prosecute them all. This is a set up in the making folks
