Nicole Richie Smoking ... Mad!

A report surfaced yesterday saying a pregnant Nicole Richie was recently seen smoking outside of two NYC restaurants, but that seems highly unlikely... as she's been out of the country and hasn't been in the Big Apple in months!

As seen in these pics, exclusively obtained by TMZ, Nicole spent the last couple of weeks in Australia and Thailand with her baby daddy, Joel Madden. The couple returned to L.A. directly from Asia on Oct. 26.

TMZ tried to smoke-out NY Post columnist Cindy Adams, who published the inflammatory item, but we were not able to nail down the exact date when Nicole was allegedly spotted lighting up. Cindy's spies are clearly a little slow with the tips, as Nicole hasn't been in NYC since September 5 for Fashion Week -- and that was nearly two months ago!

While Nicole, who is due in January, denies the accusation, her rep told TMZ, "It's frustrating when journalists don't check the facts."

Geesh.....Tink we all should go with the "WWJD" senerio here--Which wouuld be between he and Nichole.....NOT the 'general public'--I weighed 138lbs in my 9th month with my only son (by choice) He came out like a melon from a lemon @ 7lbs/8oz--I've smoked for nearly 20 years--no health issues--coughing--I've been married to his father for 18 years and @ 17 our son has no health issues--He does absolutely HATES the smell--we respect this by not smoking in the same room he's in--going out back on the porch and, by no means would he appreciate me smoking on the trip to school in the mornings--I "respect" HIS decision here!!! If he's not condeming her who the hell are you people to judge?? Reality check on "mind your own effing business here" O;))))))))))

37. I personally smoked and had 3 healthy babies from 1965 through 1971. They all weighed 8.8#, 8.11#, and 8.13#. They are all alive and well today and still healthy. I don't smoke anymore and am glad I quit but I don't believe everything I read about it either.

39. "Even if she did have 1 cigarette, it is not going to kill the baby. Woman smoked and drank through pregnancies pre-80's. our generation turned out ok."

And people drive drunk and don't kill someone but that doesn't mean people should just dismiss drunk driving. Smoking during pregnancy does cause potentially serious problems to the baby. Not to mention if the mother plans to smoke around the baby after it's born - exposing it to second-hand smoke.

41. Went to a quit smoking class. Watched a film that was some type of X-Ray. It showed blood & oxygen ( I think think this proper way to say this) flowing thru the baby in the womb. It showed the good flow of oxygen. When the Mom smoked the oxygen flow decreased by 60%. You could actually see the difference. It really made me feel bad. These baby's are always smaller.
This is facts . Retired USAF Smoke and Alcohol free.

43. Tink me too. Both of my children hate the smell of smoke and I smoked during both pregnancy. Both kids are straight A students in college. No health problems.

45. All this smoking crap is so STUPID!!!! My great grand parents smoked a peace pipe, (BRING it BACK,) grandparents, my parents and I smoked cigarettes pregnant and none died or had babies born with something wrong with them or had any allgries because of smoking or second hand smoke. They need to be teaching about what alcohol can do to you, what smoking meth can do, raise taxes on alcohol so high that NO young person can buy it, take alcohol commericals OFF the T.V. They make it look like a wonderful life, having fun and never show what alcohol Really does to family life. Look at the deaths of young people on the highway and if they make it thru spring break and college they might stand a chance to live long, and have a good life. Alcohol is DEADLY to our young people. If you are going to jump on smokers for their life style then you need to open your eyes to ALCOHOL before it is to late.
