TMZ has reached out to Dog the Bounty Hunter for comment on his racist rant, caught on audiotape and published by the National Enquirer. We were told Dog would not say anything, but we were referred to his pastor.
Pastor Tim Storey, an African-American, told us that he spoke with Dog, who cried for 30 minutes, saying, "I'm shocked, I'm wrong I repent. Can you believe, Tim, that I'm going to be put in the same category as Imus."
Pastor Storey, whom USA Today has referred to as "Pastor to the stars," told TMZ, "I was shocked, because I don't know that to be Duane." He went on, "I felt that he had to be accountable to what he said. When I asked him what took place, why he said it, he said that he was angry with his son about many things."
The pastor, who performed Dog and Beth's wedding ceremony continued, "The subject of his son's girlfriend came up, and in his anger he then attacked that relationship and then therefore challenged the girl by saying she wasn't good enough."
Pastor Story said, "What shocked me was that he used the N word. I know he's not a racist. He's been to black churches with me to help inner-city kids."
The pastor said he talked to Dog three times today and he apologized, saying he wasn't angry at the girl, it was anger toward his son.

this would not be happening if african americans had not started calling themselves the racist word. they did it, i think, as a term of endearment. white people can't do it....ever.

i don't think the whole thing should be blown out of control everytime someone gets "caught" using it.
Yes, I would cry too if I realized I had just crapped in my own mess kit. He's "born again," but cusses every breath. He isn't a racist, but uses THAT WORD on a regular basis, apparently around his office...and will not tolerate one of his children dating a person of color. I am truly disappointed this time around, Dog. Won't watch the show again, and my copy of his book and my DVDs of his show will be given away or sold. I'm done.
....SHAMEFUL PARENT!!!!...his son can love whom ever he chooses to in this world, and without his fathers permission and acceptance...I can only imagine now the hate that young man grew up with..happens all over the world though doesn't it...this is just another form of it!!!...very sad indeed!!
This kind of talk is unforgiveable and Dog should lose his show and the money he would get from it.
This kind of talk, to your children, breeds hate which breeds more hate.
This world will never not be racist if you have people like Dog preaching racist crap to his kids...the same things goes for African American families preaching hate towards whites to their kids.
And so it continues, generation after generation, as the world turns.
lets be real....its funny to me how all these yahoos are so sorry when they get caught. its is absolutely bull if anyone believes this guy is sorry because he is not. the only thing he is sorry about is that he got CAUGHT plain and simple.
I live in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu, just 14 miles from Honolulu and I have NEVER heard ANYONE use the 'n' word so for Dog or anyone else to say something to to the effect that "we use it all of the time here" in reference to the island(s) is a lame ass excuse, if he's referring to his family in their home and office it's still wrong and shame on them. I don't use the word, it disgusts me but some, note I said SOME, of the individuals who are screaming the loudest about Dog using it will turn around tonight and tomorrow and Saturday, et al. and call their friends and family that SAME word and they'll all laugh about it while flinging it around.
I guess his fear of the girlfriend making a deal with the tabloids came true sooner than he thought. I'd like to hear the full unedited version. Not hearing what the other person is saying to him makes me wonder. Why would his son record a conversation unless it was a setup? Using offensive words in a private conversation should not be a basis to shut down his show. Have any of you ever said something that you wouldn't want heard by anyone other than the person you're talking to? Saying words that are not politically correct or deemed racist is the the worst crime in the United States now. And calling someone a pig or trash has nothing to do with the "crime" he's accused with. And I hope you get hit by a car?? Grow up.
Dog says on the tape that this chick will turn him into the Enquirer for using the N word. Guess what happens? He's turned into the Enquirer for using the N word. I guess he knew what he was talking about.
He should have thought before he spoke. It is very sad to lose a career because of words.
