Laker Lamar Odom Crashes, Injures Woman

Lamar OdomL.A. Lakers star Lamar Odom was involved in a two car crash in Hawthorne, Calif., yesterday morning which sent one person to the hospital.

Police sources tell TMZ they are investigating Odom for allegedly running a red light in his Mercedes and T-boning a Geo Prism driven by a 37-year-old woman. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extract the victim from the wreckage. The victim's family tells TMZ that she is in serious but stable condition with a head injury and injuries to her left leg.

Sources tell us neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the accident, adding Odom stayed with the victim and was very concerned about her well being.

Odom's rep was not immediately available for comment.

31. This story is real # 6, the lady is a friend of mine. Lamar Odom was not drunk, and he did stay at the accident site till she was pried from the car. He was also really nice about it and has even been keeping in touch with the family. The woman(I'm not gonna give her name) is doing well. Lamar Odom has been very kind through the whole thing, from what she says he did run the light, both cars were totalled

Obviously, your dumb (ass) can't read. Where in the article did it say she died or close to dying? TMZ needs to set a criteria before people like this start posting. Firstly, this individual can't even comprehend a four-paragraph article, now how do you expect them to comment on something they know nothing about. Secondly, to the imbeciles that want to make this a color issue, it was just an accident, which happens everyday. It's so sad how ignorant and hateful some people are in this country. Makes you wonder if these people should even be amongst us since they clearly demonstrate that they're still from back of beyond. Peace!

37. lakers need to trade lamar. don't get me wrong i think he's a nice guy, but it seems he just doesn't come to play everynite. kobe just wants to win, he gets frustrated when other guys like lamar or kwame don't step up. for the money lamar is making, he definately has to show more.

38. lokk in the dictionary under inconsistency, and you'll see lamar odom. he's been that way his whole career. talk about overrated, come on now people. oh, this is for no3. the term negro is not racist. actually the term african american is a misnomer because many people from africa are either caucasian or arabic and yet that term has come to mean black. same goes for asian american. most asians are not oriental yet that term has come to mean just that. so quit seeing everything from a victim standpoint and grow up huh?
