Pierce vs. Pap -- Who's to Blame?

Pierce Brosnan is being investigated for sucker punching a paparazzo after being asked about playing James Bond -- but the details just don't add up!

Photog Rob Rosen tells TMZ he was being nice to the former 007 star -- who was walking around a Malibu shopping center last Friday -- when suddenly, "his eyes went crazy" and Pierce shouted, "Why don't you just get the f**k out of my face!"

The photog also tells us he was talking to Pierce's son and some of the boy's friends before Brosnan went off -- possibly triggering the fight. Watch TMZ TV tonight for more of the interview with Rosen. Check local listings.

46. I am totally on Pierce's side. Does TMZ do background checks on their employees. What if it turned out this photographer- I mean- stalker with a camera ,was a child molester. And what in the world was this guy thinking going up to Pierce's child, any child, and talking to them. In this day and age with kids being kidnapped,raped, and murdered by complete strangers, especially grown men with cameras, Pierce had every right to put his hands on this guy. If I saw someone with a camera talking to my child and I didn't know from him Adam I'd have kicked his ass too. TMZ needs to fire this guy and to make sure that the only job this guy can get is photographing roadkill on a highway in Siberia.

47. He had his kids and should have the right to protect them! What has our country come to that we allow kids now to be abused by the hound dogs!! There needs to be a stalking law for the media......if they are too stupid to back off when asked to, then they deserve getting their butts kicked....especially when they are harassing and using kids for their personal gain! I think it sucks that he didn't do a better job of kicking the paps butt!!

50. "Who's to Blame?" TMZ, usually you're able to cover a lot in a short video. But this time, you guys did a sloppy job. All you have is a small interview with this pap who acts like he wasn't doing anything wrong and suddenly Pierce just hits him. Where is your interview with Pierce on this or a video of what actually happened? So all we have to go with is that this Rosen guy admits he was close enough to Pierce, for Pierce to hit him and that Rosen was talking to Pierces' son and friends. That's it? If there's an investigation into this by the police, I'm sure they'll have more report than that.

But for now, I'll go with Pierce - if some stranger decided to just invite himself over to myself and my kids, and I felt uncomfortable enough with him to tell him to back off, then I can guarantee I wouldn't be all that nice to him.

At least one paparazzi has already been outed in the news as having a police record for being an effing pedophile. I don't see any reason why celebrities shouldn't be anxious and even angry with "paparazzi" who are around their kids.

I'm having a problem with this one because if Brosnan was upset the pap talked to the child or whatever, why did he use the F word, display anger to a over dramatic degree and allow his child to remain unbuckled in the front seat as he drove off as seen on TMZ TV.
I mean which one is worse for the child to be apart of really.

52. You just convicted yourself dumbass. If you, a complete stranger to Pierce, you are that close to him and his kids then look out here come the punches. But some people want to turn it around and run Pierce down for protecting himself and his kids. In this world with all the whackos and Michael Jackson wannabes you never know. So from now on stay clear, ask permission to talk and don't invade someone's privacy.

TMZ you need to show the whole tape on this,not just where he punches the pap..........I just don't understand why the paps have to get right in the face of these celebs, they have zoom lens, don't they ? Or could get zoom.......There should be a law passed where the paps have to stay at least 10 feet from the celebrities.........they stop traffic, don't allow celebs to walk, get into their cars etc, hang over the windows of the cars preventing them from moving......Now it seems they are getting injured and don't understand why ????????? Ridiculous.........It is just a matter of time before someone gets killed, ran over or something trying to get a picture.............just wait......it will happen.........

55. Pierce Brosnan does not have a history of violence, he does not have an arrest record. If you're going to accuse the man of beating his wife, shouldn't you have something to back up that claim ? More BS to make the paps look good in my opinion. I'm on Pierces side here.
