Nick Hogan Rocks Hot Rod Show While Charges Loom

Nick Hogan made a very public appearance with fast cars at the big SEMA car show in Las Vegas yesterday, just one day before Florida authorities say his criminal case could be moving forward -- and a short time later, Polaroid, the sponsor of his drift car, dropped him from its roster.

While his pal John Graziano, the former Marine who was critically injured in the souped-up car Hogan crashed on August 26, remains in a coma in Florida, Hogan spent the day kibbitzing with fans in the NOPI Drift Racing Booth at the show.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, the case against Hogan could go to the State Attorney as soon as today.

Meanwhile, Nick's dad, Hulk Hogan, spent Tuesday night partying at the Playboy Club in The Palms Hotel.

136. I resent the Posters who call Nick Mildy retarded..... its a deep insult to mentally challenged people. He is completely and utterly retarded.... There is nothing mild about it.
The entire family is immoral and to even be seen neer speed cars and associated with any type of racing vehicles sends entirely the wrong message. I hope the judge throws vehicular manslaughter at this dimwit. Because there are too many good people on the streets for him to kill. And make no bones about it, John Grazianos life is over. It will never be without pain again. It is doubtful he will even regain consienseness. God help him if he does.

Any fans who spent the day Kibbitzing with him, shame on you. Your encouraging the dimwit. He needs to have his license revoked. Permanently would be about right. And he needs to go to special ed classes to learn the basics of human decency.

137. 115. FYI The Hogans came by to see John and changed his diaper before they went to the Halloween Party. They were back the next morning to give John his bath, start his feeding tube and change his diaper. They're very caring people and even sister Brooke comes by when she's not recording, reads to John and changes his diapers. Nick is devastated by what he did to his friend(even though it was John's fault because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt), and spends his nights praying in the chapel. He also helps out by changing John's diapers.

Yeah right, you liar. If even one part of this were true you wouldn't have a job. Justifying the bad driving and horrible accident by saying "Oh well he wasn't wearing his seat belt" Is thoroughly disgusting. No reputable member of the medical community would justify this situation in this manner. Try again - Liar

138. 46. To be fair, the kid wasn't wearing a seatbelt. That's why Nick could walk away from the accident, because he was wearing a seat belt.

Let's say it again....A SEATBELT WOULD NOT HAVE SAVED JOHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The type of injuries he has would NOT have been prevented by using a seatbelt. Just get over it already!

139. 82. Nick can't become a hermit just to please you people. I'm sure he has issues having to deal with the fact that his bad judgement caused the injuries to his friend. Nick is responsible for the crash, but he still has to live his life. I know John can't go on "living his life" but Nick can't just curl up & die for you people. He has to deal with this his own way and will never please everyone.

PS. I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am, but I thought I read somewhere that John was not wearing a seat belt. No excuse for Nick's bad judgement, but a seat belt may have made a difference. Just a thought.

No, a seatbelt would not have made ANY difference.

140. I believe you people have a false idea of what really happens to "ordinary" people in these kinds of situations.... I personally know a woman that ran a stop sign and killed my friends 3 year old son...Not "almost" killed, but KILLED him and she didnt serve ONE minute in jail. She wasnt even arrested at all.. After several months they did have to go to court but the only thing that happen was she couldnt drive for one year after that..So he is not getting "celebrity" treatment.... "normal" people dont ALWAYS go to jail for stuff like this either! And all you people are RAGING about him needing to go to jail and NONE of you know what his friends family is saying and what they feel about it... if they thought as badly of him as all you people they would probably be in media pressing for something to be done..

141. We need to start a campaign to get the Hogans off the air. All they are promoting is the criminal lifestyle of their son and the complete lack of class on the part of their entire family. I will definitely be writing VH1 about my displeasure I hope everyone else will do the same. I would truly like to see how they would do without money.

142. You can't blame the victim for not wearing a seatbelt. Only Nick knew if he would be speeding or not, he had control of the car, he should have made damn sure his passenger was buckled up if he was about to endanger his life. I think we've all forgotten at one time or another to buckle up. Most realize the mistake before a potential fatal accident, unfortunately, John did not. That's why it's doubly important the driver does his JOB and make sure all passengers are secured before he starts the engine.

Also, it's been reported that a seat belt would have done little to save John. The impact was so great, his head rest was ripped from the seat, and the metal spikes that hold the headrest up, were impaled in the back of John's skull.

143. Nick Boella has a recorded history of unsafe and irresponsible driving ; which also include he not wearing HIS seatbelt. This accident was clearly NOT a first time error in judgement. upon his part. - It has, however; been both his verbal, as well as his published 'attitude' regardiing this tragedy, that has resulted in the majority of people finding both he and the parents continued denials of past and current streetracing, etc; for 'whatever' their personal reasons, .... disheartening and shallow. This is what speaks volumes.

If the truth be known; being 'jealous,' hardly describes the personal feelings and /or opinion's of most.

'That ' ..........would probably be easier........a whole lot easier.

What a truly heartbreaking tragedy for all involved.

May God speed.

144. To people who think that others should "lay off" things may be different if it was your loved one laying in a hospital bed. I am tired of hearing that he is just a kid, people make mistakes, and it was only an accident. As well as, John chose to get in the car, he wasn't wearing a seat belt and he might have been encouraging Nick.
Nick was the driver, speed did play a factor to this accident, and his careless actions landed John (his friend) in the hospital fighting for his life. However, has Nick learned a lesson from all this is unknown to all of us and from his actions...my opinion is NO. From the comments he has made about John only hitting his head, not wearing a seat belt and from his blogs is more like a cop out and placing blame on John rather then showing remorse. For being a "pro " drifter, he was unable to keep his car in control and there is a place for that.....NOT on PUBLIC roads or highways.
Yes John got in the car with Nick, but with friendship comes trust. As for the seat belt, it has been said by several professionals that even if he had worn one, it wouldn't of helped and I highly doubt he was encouraging Nick to lose control of the vehicle. Quit trying to place blame on the victim who is paying with his life, a man who served our country and put his life on the line for US!
My thoughts and prayers are with John and his loved ones....May God Bless them!

Its being asked to say a prayer on Sun(Nov 4th) for John and I am asking you all to do just that!

145. i'm so glad to hear people are so indignant ;there is hope after all for our moral compass, what happened could have been prevented,i think if nicl hadnt gotten off so many times for speeding cuz hes hulks son and the cops knew him...i wrote to all his sponsors[polaroid,k-sport,meguiars,mactools,bf goodrich,&sparco] polaroid didnt know or approve of him, driftlive didnt kow him,and k-sport didnt kow him....no one seems to want to be associated w/him in any way.last time i looked all these sponsors are still on his website @hogandrift.com,so i dont know whats going on.i just hope that daddys money and fame dont get him off . he definitely needs to suffer the consequences of his appalling behavior. he is a tool ,self centered ,self entitled, narcissistic moron.

146. Nick..............

Stay away from fast cars. This was in BAD TASTE. Your friend is basically brain dead by all accounts and you're going to show up at an event that has to do with fast cars...........are you NUTS?

148. Those in TV land shut down Dog the Bounty Hunter's show because he said some terrible things during a private phone call leaked to the press. Yet, they keep this disfunctional family - the parents defending and encouraging Nick's habitual speeding and street racing on the air? Nick's chronic behavior finally resulting in a man that now is only able to sometimes blink his eyes - a living vegetable that will need extensive care for the rest of his life. Keeping this show on TV glorifies this spoiled kid and his speed obsession and sets a terrible role model for other teens. --- Which of these two acts is more offensive? Hulk Hogan - father of the year, yeah right.

149. Lets see if mommy and daddy can get you out of this one, maybe you can trade some nude pic's of your sis for some jail time?.

150. It's a shame that he wasn't put under control a little by his parents earlier. Maybe it wouldn't have happened, maybe it would have. Ya never know. But most have done what he has done on the street. He just overdrove his ability and has on many occasions. Partly because hie FRIENDS feed him what he wants to hear. So don't blame the dude entirely. Friends can be your worse enemy. Jail? Why. Ya have to have a case before ya do time. Lighten up people. Easy to take shots from a lower station in life.
